For those doing Secret Lair today, I have but one question...

000

AttackOnCardboard @attackoncardboard.com · 22/01/2026

I enjoyed them as a literal mark in history. "I was here". Not all of them were bangers, but it was something that made Prerelease that much more special. Don't forget they also used to have different ones for release events and Prerelease events!

*Characteristic Defining Ability (which is different from P/T Setting. L7a ability vs L7b ability.)

😂 There's a bunch of threads in the Riftbound discord on this too

You can only do this because of the Deathknell trigger. If it was anything else you don't get an opportunity to flip it

As of the rules update in November, Riot added a gap between combat clean up and ownership of a battlefield clean up.

110

AttackOnCardboard @attackoncardboard.com · 03/01/2026

Tasty controls a battlefield w/ ZHG hidden there. Opponent attacks that battlefield and wins. With Tasty's Deathknell on the stack, you can reveal ZHG and return it to base, saving the Hourglass. (To clarify, we're not using the ZHG to save Tasty. We're revealing the ZHG so it doesn't get trashed)

Do you know about the Tasty interaction and Hourglass?

Very kind of maro to decisively solve the hybrid argument for commander in one sentence. Card is both colors in all zones. Color identity applies. Done and dusted.

Judge my first semi-major Riftbound event this weekend. It was a great time, had a couple of interesting calls, and I even had my own "can I take this back?" moment in the finals! Will look to do a video on the rules questions soon!

I had a good chat with Gavin when he let me know the news. I wouldn't have been told there's always a chance for old members to rotate back into the CFP if I wasn't welcome back. I believe the CFP is in great hands, I'm looking forward to the future.

110

AttackOnCardboard @attackoncardboard.com · 15/12/2025

We knew the CFP was going to be reduced in numbers on Day One. If Gavin had said "we need someone to drop so Tomer can join", I would have given my seat up for them. They're a great pillar of the community. I don't believe I wasnt renewed for any of my opinions. Spicy or Tame. 1/2

AttackOnCardboard @attackoncardboard.com · 11/12/2025

I wish @budgetcommander.bsky.social and @highermtg.bsky.social all the best. I know that Tomer certainly speaks for the community I advocate for and they're in good hands. To the fans, thanks for your support, 2026 is going to be big. To the haters, I appreciate the engagement o7

AttackOnCardboard @attackoncardboard.com · 11/12/2025

While this chapter of my MTG journey ends, I am very grateful for the opportunity to begin with. I loved engaging with so many wonderful people in the community. I also enjoyed my time engaging with other parts of the community. I would do it and say it all again.
