#NowPlaying Erazor by @barr-os.bsky.social I've known this track for 12 years (although he created it in 2004) and it's still one of my favorites by BarrOS. It's a very refined take on the electronic music of the time, influenced by the greats. From Orbital to The Prodigy, but always BarrOS.

#NowPlaying Peace (Tubular Bells) by Mike Oldfield. The only thing I can think listening to this wonderful work is "I need to create my own 4 minutes of peace" Mike Oldfield is an inspirational creator, an under-the-radar companion for so many... sometimes :-) youtu.be/2YWhEdzU-ms

I've never stopped thinking about that time I saw someone here claim that rock music has mostly been a retro novelty genre since 2001 and it's become really hard to not listen to modern rock music through that lens

Two years ago I came back to music. Capitalism was my first EP — each track is a window into what this system actually does to people. The visuals still hold. Same people suffering. Same people extracting. Same people dreaming. Humanism was never part of the deal. open.spotify.com/intl-es/albu...

Ah, I do so love trying to load in old music projects where half the synths are missing or just don't work any more, the drums are in a different file location so they have to be redone, the volume is 10x what it was originally and none of the soundfonts work.

I'm restoring (re-composing) old +30 years compositions. With the last one, I asked my son to tell me his first impression after one listen: ‘It seemed like it was going to be a Blade Runner vibe but then… I don’t know; I wouldn’t put it on my list of songs I like on Spotify.’ Blunt.

It's ultra-processed music, and yet the song embraces that excess with open arms. My final verdict is that I like it... perhaps because of my love for the original. Nonetheless, I'm horrified to find myself enjoying something so AI-powered. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzxM...
