Exactly. The same thing happened in the 1980's farm crisis. So many family farms went under, bringing down with them businesses & factories in the neighboring towns. Big Agra swooped in and bought the farms for pennies on the dollar, industrialized them, & brutalized the environment.

Have you ever seen one of these? It's a humanitarian daily ration (similar to military MRE), which #USAID distributes to people around the world- INCLUDING THE US- in a humanitarian crisis. The part that touches me most, the package says "Food Gift From The People Of The United States Of America"

The more I see of elmo's antics, the more I'm reminded of the phrase "follow the money." In this case, they're doing all they can to cover their future tracks. By putting in their own loyalists and cutting access to info, they're building a big black box in which they can do whatever they like.
