So confident, yet so pathetically uninformed. 🙄 Scientists from BC, QC & NS all concluded pipelines & tanker traffic could decimate the entire population of Southern Resident killer whales. It's literally why Carney wants the power to override the Species At Risk Act! But you know better, eh? 🙄

It's hard to believe you're really as slow as you're pretending to be. These projects will push multiple species toward extinction; a pipeline would decimate this population of orcas by destroying habitat for their main prey, Pacific salmon. But you'd know that if you'd read past the 1st line. 🙄

Railway tracks depicted as slim white lines intersect and weave amongst each other across dirty gray earth. In the foreground, a signal light is showing us a steady red. Beyond, overlapping utility poles and industrial gridwork structures screen the shadowy shapes of blocky city buildings. Everything is still: there are no trains on the tracks, no life in the image, no lights in the distant buildings. Above, the sky is dingy and dark.

We need to decarbonize as soon as possible. That's it. That's reality. And if you're too scared to wanna do it to keep the Earth habitable, it's also going to make energy production more decentralized and less open to attack. So even if you're motivated by fear, you should STILL want to decarbonize.

A lot of people assume we'll start decarbonizing once things calm down. We need a new pipeline now, but hey, once things are better, we can focus on the environment. But things are never gonna calm down. The world is going to get more chaotic every year because we didn't decarbonize decades ago.
