At a hotel for a wedding. These “relaxed fit” trousers make me look like I’m wearing a clown suit 🤣😬

It’s gone midnight and I’m casually watching Thundercats Ho!:The Movie. It’s got to be my ultimate nostalgia comfort movie. I must have watched the VHS dozens of times when I was a kid in the 80’s!

Busy week. Mario Galaxy movie today with the now ridiculously tall eldest niece

In scary London to see Pet Shop Boys #Obscure. First time seeing them live!

First evening social of the year. Very civilised by our standards!

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 13/01/2026

Well I finally deactivated my account and deleted that soul-sucking OTHER app. This year is all about kicking bad habits and prioritising things that bring me joy. I might start popping up here more often now but less social media in general is the way forward

No frikkin’ way! The very first Chikorita I picked was a girl! And the exact same thing happened way back when I first played the original Gold/Silver all those years ago…what are the odds?! #PokemonZA #PokemonLegendsZA

I love how in #DonkeyKongBananza no-one gets angry when you smash their shit up. Poor little monkey is living his best life fishing for bananas and DK comes along and pulverises his boat and he’s just like “…swimming is fine too, I guess.” 😂

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I’ve been having an absolute blast with #DonkeyKongBananza! Taking it nice and slow, spending plenty of time on each layer. Capturing moments with photo mode is very appealing, just as with Mario Odyssey.

Elements of Mario, Pokémon and Hello Kitty for the kids’ Japan-themed cake for school tomorrow!

One odd thing about Mario Kart World is how most the roster is unlocked from the start. I feel like the quirky racers should have been unlockable through Free Roam challenges. Like I came across Nabbit running around and assumed I had to catch him to unlock him but then realised he was base roster

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

Just short of 45, but yep. Truths!

240

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 06/06/2025

So how’s everyone finding Mario Kart World? I don’t think I’ve ever played a Mario Kart game before where I got a trophy on every single cup on 150CC first game. So either it’s easier, or it’s just much fairer with items. I’ve definitely had no rage-inducing race ruinations due to items!

Redownloading my digital games on Switch 2…I have a DISGUSTING amount of unplayed sales games 🫣

220

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 03/06/2025

So who is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday?

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 27/03/2025

It’s kinda funny to me how live-action Marvel will happily have actors in their 40’s-50’s play the characters but Marvel comics editorial won’t even let their main characters age beyond 30 even though they’d have to be that and older for continuity to make any sense

Look at these cute little Pikmin soft key rings my sister got my nephew for his birthday!

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 26/03/2025

Okay, okay the BIG question - do we want a cgi Nightcrawler like Beast with his velvety fur-skin and yellow eyes or is this a character who can still be done justice with body paint and contacts? #AvengersDoomsday

Lunch date today on a sunny spring day. Can’t complain!

One of the more amusing X-Men 97 merch pieces I’ve come across. This is for my nephew’s birthday since Remy is his favourite 😁

Not much makes me cry but Jesus Christ that ending to Adolescence got me 😭

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

Seven months since I first started on it (gave up for most of last year 🤪) my bedroom redecoration is close to being finished. Now with X-Men and Pokémon flavour!

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 28/02/2025

Couldn’t resist getting a couple of the new RSVLTS #XMen97 shirts! Slightly disappointed that in its second year of merch Nightcrawler is still absent from most of the products, but they’re awesome all the same

Just saw Sonic 3 with the niblings…Elodie was sobbing by the end 🫣

I hate New Year at the best of times, but this one’s the real deal with a bad cold and headache and familial squabbling so I’m just sitting alone in bed now 🥳

Christmas is the perfect time to finish up a summery song about the sea 🤭

Think the novelty has worn off with Marvel Rivals already. Not really had fun with it the last couple of days - playing as (frequently the only) Support / Strategist is too often a frustrating experience as teammates run off solo, ignore the objective and then complain they’re not being healed 🫠

Camping it up at a Christmas party

I just dropped my suit jacket out the bedroom window trying to air it out. How’s your day going?!

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 06/12/2024

So I played Marvel Rivals into the early hours. First time I’ve done that in a while. My hands were aching! #oldman

Brett X @atomicjubilation.bsky.social · 04/12/2024

Think I’m gonna give this a go. I’ve always preferred third person to first person and, of course, it’s Marvel. Not much in the way of characters I love so far but maybe the game will change that. Anyone else checking it out?

The Girls Aloud Show is so sad with the tributes to Sarah 🥲 they all sound great, though

@mkev1984.bsky.social I’m hearing that Shogo is addressed in this week’s Uncanny! Will read later

Just a friendly reminder. The list is updated often and it auto-blocks new additions automatically once you block the full list. You don’t even have to know they’re here, they’ll never show up in your feed or replies.

Spent my afternoon today making the niblings an #XMen97 version of Guess Who. Kept them entertained for ages!

Marvel finally released the full images for my D’fied cover series out in February. 54 characters across 26 covers. Make sure to request them through your retailer. If these are a hit, there’ll be a lot more.

Not sure why I never shared this. The design sheet for the new Spider-Gwen series. Just some minor tweaks to the costume and some new custom blade sneakers.
