I am running in this by-election because people deserve straight answers not empty promises.On the doors, in emails, and through social media, I am hearing the same stories again and again: Irish people stuck on housing lists for 15–20 years, people in their 30s and 40s still living with parents, families unable to get social housing, and workers who cannot afford so-called “affordable” housing schemes because the prices are still far too high.People are asking serious questions about housing, fairness, the housing crisis, and where public money is going.Many people are also questioning why ordinary Irish people are being left waiting years for housing and support while the Government continues to fail communities across the country. These are issues the public has every right to ask questions about.Before any of these parties ask for your vote — and not just the ones currently in Government — they should be able to give clear answers. I’m talking about Sinn Féin, Labour, the Social Democrats, the Greens — the list goes on. If they cannot answer now, why would anyone believe they will answer after being elected?I believe Irish people who have worked, paid taxes, raised families, and waited patiently for years must not be ignored in their own communities.We need full transparency on housing allocations, NGO funding, IPAS-related accommodation, and affordable housing schemes.If these reports are accurate, then I support Patrick Quinlan in asking the questions that others refuse to ask.This is about fairness, accountability, and putting ordinary people first.Do not give your vote to anyone who cannot give you a straight answer.
