Works in progress for the last conceptual works of an 8 week project regarding black holes! Whew. I only have one more skeleton to lay down tonight. The last one may not seem to make sense - just bear with it till I finish it and complete a full presentation.

I finished this assignment tonight, I only had an hour to make it happen! This is done with mechanical pencil on the back of a piece of a gridded paper pad. The assignments topic was “dreamscape”. I tend to have more nightmares, so I chose something more positive from my brain.

More art projects I’ve been working on in school! The cuttlefish was built from the ground up in Adobe Illustrator, it was a to try out some tools for the first time and to do a study on sillouettes/shapes! (Drawn with a wacom drawing tablet) 1/3

Sometimes I get comments like “glad you made time for art!” and don’t think people realize I’m a full-time artist now 😅 The best way to support me is signing up to my email list, buying art, sharing/liking/commenting is extremely kind & helpful too! Thank you 🤗 stellerarts.com/collections/...

A quick tornado painting/sketch I just did to wind down with ^_^ Haven't done one of these since I was a kid. They're fun.

A painting/sketch of a tornado rippin up the terf.

Super inky black, and it has a teeny tiny little friend that wants to join with him as they create their own beaten paths.

A couple pieces from this weeks projects: Both are a work in progress still, and not intended to be your “best” work. They are exploratory! These both are tied to a theme I have yet to reveal - It’s a series of an 8 week project!

Charcoal on paper! This is an abstract visualization of the supermassive black hole in the center of our galaxy - which the James Webb Space Telescope had discovered just this past February, is constantly and rapidly ejecting very strong flares! Yes, the same process that happens on our sun, also happens with our very own black hole friend. Much, much more violent and rapid however. What a friendly lil guy!

You can see the construction being laid out in the mixture of plasma & strong magnetism.

Hello everyone! I need some help, I have to turn this in by tomorrow night. This artwork is a bit of an abstract visualization of the JWST’s findings of our supermassive black hole & how it rapidly ejects flares. @bot.astronomy.blue signup 🔭 #astrology #blackholes #jwst

1/3 bottle alterations for a school project! He was formerly filled with 1.5 liters of wine, and now has 8 feets.

A monster made out of a wine bottle laid on its side and now has 8 feet made of corks! He was painted black and has a mossy top like appearance. Crooked eyes & crooked pupils

Enjoy this goofy collage I made. The cobra meowm was inspired by the Egyptian goddess Bastet & an underling/admirer who is in the form of snail meowm, slithering up mountains of obsidian to admire her more closely

Enjoy this goofy collage I made. The cobra meowm was inspired by the Egyptian goddess Bastet. She has obsidian ears, eyes & nose made of colliding galaxies caught from JWST, the recent lunar eclipse for a third eye, a cobra body & lightning bolts for whiskers.

Her underling or one who admires her, is a snail meowm slithering up mountains of obsidian to observe bastet-like entity more closely.

This title slide for Heidi B. Hammel's public lecture about "Exploring the Solar System with the James Webb SPace Telescope" shows a montage of images of Solar System objects taken JWST: Mars, Main-belt Comet Read, Jupiter, Europa, Saturn, Titan, Uranus and Neptune. The talk itself will describe some of these images, as well as spectroscopy, and the amazing science being extracted from them.

hey stop it

a screencap from some late-90s-early-aughts Nickelodeon animated television show depicting a girl with blond hair, most of it in a bun at the top of her head, save for a piece laying over her right eye, leaning back and away - uncomfortable - with the piece of meat on a fork being presented to her by another person with red painted nails and a bright orange shaggy sweater.
text from left to right reads:
"complete strangers"
"overfamiliar playful rudeness"
"me"

New JWST image of protostar HH 30, with legend. 🔭 🧪

A close-in image of protoplanetary disc HH 30. Parts of the image are labelled “Jet” (above and below the disc), “Conical Outflow”, “Possible Spiral”, “Dark Lane”, “Disk”, and “Tail”. A scale marker in the bottom-left is labelled “300 au”; this is a little wider than the disc itself, but less wide than the conical outflows above and below the disc

This is the clearest photo ever taken of Venus. 🔭 🧪

This is a cropped, close-up image of the planet Venus, taken by the Parker Solar Probe’s WISPR instrument. The image shows a crescent Venus against the black backdrop of space, with the edge of the planetary limb clearly defined. The crescent is illuminated by sunlight, transitioning from a bright, almost white glow at the top right edge to a subtle, golden yellow that dominates the majority of the illuminated area, before fading into the darkness of the planet's night side at the bottom left. The distinct variations in brightness and texture across the crescent suggest cloud formations or atmospheric layers. A bright, flaring light source is visible at the top right corner, likely the Sun, which contributes to the illumination of the crescent. The overall composition emphasizes the stark contrast between the luminous crescent and the surrounding darkness, highlighting the curvature and celestial context of Venus.
