And just for reference 30k, was what I owed for student loans and that was considered small. And the only fucking reason I was able to pay that down was because my mom died and left me a chunk of money that was supposed to be her retirement which is still honestly hurts.

30k would have completely wiped out my student debt. I ended up paying it off with some money I inherited instead, but that required my mom dying. 30k would have been a life changing amount of money for me throughout most of my 20s and 30s.

This is the Scooby Gang by the way. I realized I was alternately calling them the Monster Hunter and Monster Hunting Society so I made it canon they can't even agree on the names. The surnames are a reference to the urban legend the Scooby gang was based on the 5 Colleges in Western Mass.

The Monster Hunter/Hunting Society: A group of students who have appointed themselves the protectors of the University against supernatural threats. Unfortunately they suck at it and can't even agree on their own group name.
Frederik Amherst: The ostensible leader, fighter. Annoyed people keep calling him “Armrest.”
Mistralia Smith: The bard, pretty but a bit air headed. People call her Smaith as an insult but she doesn't notice.
Wilma Holyoke: Wizard, the only one with any sense.
Norville Hampshire: Druid, Slacker.
Welker: A dog wearing a collar of intellect that also lets him talk.

I also set it up that during an attempted seance they heard occasional noises but that was actually the Scooby-Doo gang failing their stealth checks trying to sneak around above them until the Fred counterpart saw a chance to attack, jumped down and then the rest came down through the ceiling.

The professor is also a wereraven because he used to date a member of the Martikov family and he thought the most romantic thing he could do was also become a wereraven. And then they broke up. He treats the wereraven thing like an embarrassing tattoo you got with your ex's name on it.

I gave him a different name but everybody figured out pretty quickly he was just supposed to be Edgar Allen Poe. And the voice I did for him was one half Droopy Dog, one half Kif from Futurama.

Welker also couldn't roll for shit and I rolled a 1 for his bite attack twice in a row! The first time I had invite his own tail by accident and the second time the professor who he Monster Hunter Society was attacking told him to sit and he did.

I was curious how long it would take them to realize this other party was just a fantasy version of the Scooby-Doo gang. I think the biggest giveaway was the talking dog named Welker (after Frank Welker who has played Scooby for many years).

After further consideration I think succinylcholine would be a better medicine to use in this hypothetical in the "can very quickly kill you if you screw it up" category.

"I did the math and decided the dose of propofol we give isn't correct so I just did it my way." (Tried to think of a medicine we give where a misdose can have catastrophic consequences) I would have my license torn out of my hand so fast I'd get a paper cut. He's lucky he *just* got yelled at.

My jaw was on the floor for the entire bit about him changing the dosing schedule for the patient without telling his superiors because yeah, you should get in trouble for that! If I did something like that and my medical director found out I would rightly get excoriated for it!

I was arguing with someone about that, and basically the only safe raw milk to give to a human baby is one that comes from a human nipple. And that's because humans don't make a habit of rolling around in our own feces. (Though I have had a couple patients who show it does happen)
