TRUTH NUKE The sheer difference between me drawing my OCs and me drawing someone else’s characters can be genuinely staggering. In the end I guess people prefer what’s familiar over what’s “new” and they like being “provided” something by a creator.

whenever i stop drawing it's either cause i'm preoccupied with life (can't be helped) or because i feel too inept as an artist. when it happens, i have to come to terms with the fact that only through drawing more may i at least try to fix what i perceive as problematic in my technique/style

I pride myself a lot on my designs! I think they’re really recognizable but I may be biased… As for struggles, I have a hard time with details. The silver lining is that it sorta prevents me from getting too over-complicated with my designs, but it’s still a limiting factor for me.

Mavi! I guess the idea was "exaggerate the sleeves instead of the skirt" so now it's small and the sleeves are big. I also enjoy messing with her wing ponytail hair.

"where have you been for artfight?" "when will you post on bluesky again?" well you see i got distracted by a story idea someone started me on where my characters time travel to the 13 colonies to start the american revolution, and i kind of waaay over-committed to it :P

A movie-style poster. The characters of mine that I've featured are Delta, Nyuki, Yoo, Chief, Mavi, and Nadel. George Washington and a shadowy figure meant to resemble King George III are also present, as they are both relevant characters in the thing I wrote. I'm not sure if I'll post that thing publicly. This entire week has been a dive into absurdity for me.

I think it’s ultimately about what you want to make of the event, right? If I did something myself (which I might) I’d personally take it with a grain of salt. The way I see it, unless doing commissions and creative work is your income, there’s no loss other than nothing happening
