CSP being pressed to take even just /kissing/ off their asset store and FA being told that plus sized characters are considered adult should be a giant waving red flag to folks. Sex workers have /always/ been right to say these policies never stop with 1 type of content. They always wanna ban more.

even if the ethics of ai can't sway you, i don't understand why you'd ever let a vibe coded plugin run inside of a game where using plugins too loudly might get you banned. how can you possibly trust it to be secure

the last thing i wanted to do today was fucking soapbox about AI usage and endorsements in the XIV modding space but when marginalized non-white, non-rich communities are the ones paying the price for people to develop code for their plugins or mods, you gotta stand on business.

1303

kachi @ START RUNNING, SEPHIROTH .ᐟ.ᐟ 🇵🇷 @aster.etheirys.social · 27/09/2026

also adding onto this because i'm seeing people deny there was ever an AI disclaimer/declaration. There has always been one. Always. I don't fault people for not seeing it because it's not in the main page but please, when you go to github, check all the files.

also as an aside to the conversation of proteus. i get it makes upscaling and whatever easier but there are real people who love doing stuff like this. literally just go support them. if you don't have the time or money just make a request. someone might see it and do it.

Also it is literally penumbra overlay feature for people who dont know how to use penumbra overlay feature I understand the reason why people want this is cause they want instant gratification and not having to sit there and learn the programs.

If you need another indicator of Ysayle coming back, the 3 people who went to the Fourth Shard are all people who are *intensely* and inextricably linked to her. Those 3 are Estinien, the Warrior of Light, and Alphinaud. All of them who watched her 'die.' That's not a coincidence.

so now that the embargo's up, i can talk about it. i don't think ysayle died. i think, much like the WoD, she was pulled to another world by Hydaelyn/the word of the mother. we saw her dissipate, not die. there was never any corpse. just a burst of aether and then, she was gone.
