And who is best to learn that from than the atmospheric GCM-CUISINES community, including one of our invited speakers, @timlichtenberg.bsky.social. The topics of the review talks and sessions include interior and evolution models, intercomparisons and experimental data such as equations of state.

This is not the typical conference: its aim is to assemble the exoplanet interior community to initiate systematic intercomparisons of interior models and foster discussions on best practices and protocols.

Hi all! If you are looking for a conference in exoplanet interiors in 2026, check out "Layers of Understanding: Model Intercomparisons of Exoplanet Interiors": layersofunderstanding2026.github.io It will take place in MPIA's campus in April 13-17th. The registration deadline is 15 January 2026

There are several summer internship projects being offered in APEx at MPIA. If you are interested in clouds in exoplanet atmospheres, interior evolution of exoplanets and/or directly imaged planets, apply before 15th January!
