Yep. This is from the first page of Mutiny in the Mountains by Gordon Simmons. I started it this morning. Quoting from Strike! (Which is on my never ending list of books to read.)

The Daily Mail butchered what he said. But, what he actually said was almost worse. He basically puts words in the mouths of unnamed ‘Jewish Leaders’ who say that him not knowing what it was when he got it ‘seems like an eminently reasonable thing’.

Mills recently mentioned the tattoo in a
media advisory. The National Republican Senatorial Committee has started tweeting
about it. There have not been TV ads with it.
Do you feel like that's going to change

That's why I had that. Susan Collins voted to
send me to Iraq. It was the fighting I took part
in, in Iraq, that resulted in me and other
machine gunners getting a skull-and-
crossbones tattoo. If we want to continue
talking about my military service, I'm more than
happy to, but I don't think it's going to have the
impact they are envisioning.

The pressure changes are kicking my ass. My sinuses are throwing a fit.

Graph showing barometric pressure in Chicago over the last 72 hours. Pressure has gone from 29.655 to 29.95 and back down and almost all the way back up again with a couple of other dips for good measure. Would probably make a fun roller coaster. As of this posting it’s around 29.905.

Fwiw, I can see the alt text on the photo. But I’m also using a 3rd party app. (Skeets on iPad) AK Press released an English translation of Zaragoza Bound: A Chronicle of the Durruti Column this year that I need to read. This is the first page.

The door to the street lay wide open and a bunch of militians
were taking their ease in the yard, my father waiting upon them.
And then one of them cried out:
—Eh? Buenaventura!
And a small group that had been retreating stopped at our
door. Durruti had transferred command and was heading back to
the front and to his column. We invited then in for a drink. How
well I remember it! My father with a bottle of El Mono anis in his
hand, yes, I remember it perfectly, the wonders of recall, and he
was pouring the liquor and the militians were sipping at it, before
washing it down with a mouthful of cold water from the bodega's
earthenware pitcher.
Durruti was in a hurry, declining the anis but welcoming the
cold water. I went to fetch him a glass. While he was drinking from
it my father said something.... When he was done, he wiped his
mouth with the back of his hand and, looking at my father, he laid
his hand on my head and said:

"We are making this revolution for their sake, for them."
And that was how I first met Durruti.

Got blocked for pointing out that their self-righteous bullshit directed at Molly, of all people, is asinine.

User amanfromuncle calls Molly Shah self-righteous for saying that the way to go is to infiltrate No Kings rallies that refuse to have Palestinian speakers by handing out fliers and talking to people - essentially an internal counterdemo.

"Calling it a "counterdemo" is the kind of passive aggressive nonsense the left needs to drop if we're gonna get anywhere.

Ian Renni points out that quibbling over word choice is awfully self-righteous.

Now, see, I would argue that they are doing their job here. In so far as they have a job that isn't terrorizing people. Regardless, this is bad. No deportations, even the cop.

Skeet without any user information that says 'More evidence (as if it were needed) that ICE is not interested in catching criminals. They have detained a cop from the Chicago suburbs.' Skeet was made on Oct 16th, 2025 at 3:24PM CT.
