Gourdammit. My daughter grew a lot of these! (got a couple big pumpkins cooking still too) 🎃

20+ small pale-cream/white & green-striped, and dark geeen with pale white/cream striped gourds. A particularly cute white with no-stripes one and a very kind stem stands in the back left, all on top of a black towel on a dark countertop.

Cut short due to the storms - which never came (booo)- but still got one helluva set from Tool (2 days past the 30th Anniversary of Ænema, and 6th time overall for me), and Social Distortion (for the first time ✅) at Riot Fest tonight, and wifey joined me 🤘🏻 Good times.

Picked up some of my old hats from the folks’ house today. The Ghostbusters II one hits just hard as ever.

The same hat pictured from the left-back side, where most of “Ghostbusters.” outlined in blue, is visible, with Slimer and his green streak lines blurrily-visibly to the top-left of them. A black circle above the “ERS” reads “KICK SOME SLIME.”

Various other hats, 2 of the same floppy 90s style (an Aladdin one - featuring multiple images of the Genie, along with many poofs of smoke and Aladdin, Abu and Jasmine on the brim - and a Batman one, with many little bat signal logos in the middle yellow top/front-back portion. The other two hats are a 90s Bulls snap back and Wolf Cub Scout hat. All sit atop a dark-brown wooden table.

Same. I’ve watched Star Wars countless times, but this is my first Trek revisit since going through the show and (most of?) the films as a kid with my dad. They’re so completely different, scratching a different sci-fi itch than Star Wars. I’ve liked them all (V too)- excited for VI this weekend.

Family outing to see a living legend tonight. I didn’t have him shredding multiple times on my “Fogerty-at-81” bingo card. Simply fantastic. You could feel the decades of weight and joy in everything; so glad we got to finally see him, and the kiddo got to hear 2/3 of her favorites! ✅
