Ophelia cropping up a lot at the moment. I did a video with her, Millais and Siddall in mind

Maybe beauty is everywhere (whatever 'beauty' is) and it's just a matter of seeing it ... and maybe that requires looking? Anyway, you and your windows and doors etc. I hope you are well. I am just making one of my rare visits to Bluesky.

I think I am on a painting roll at the moment - or maybe it is a painting snow roll. (The four blobs on the right are supposed to be bushes covered in snow ... NOT sheep!) #Impressionist #Painting #oilpainting #ImpressionistPainting #NeoImpressionism #Snow #SnowPainting

Thank you for reposting this image of my painting @crimsontauri.bsky.social and please accept my sympathy for the loss of your wife. It is strange that one of your profiles is called "Blu". I have just made a model cat for someone and the cat is called "Blu".

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I truly appreciate it. I am glad that you like the picture. I hope that your writing is going well. I write too ... and I know what a struggle it can be getting book sales at times.

Still trying to get to grips with the paints and not let the time between paintings get too big. I quite like this one. A bit Impressionistic I think. #Impressionist #Painting #oilpainting #ImpressionistPainting #NeoImpressionism #Snow #SnowPainting

I really, really, really should spend more time drawing and painting! I might retain the things I learn and save myself loads of mistakes and frustration and anger if I did!

Having done little more than play with AI images and videos in recent weeks (or MONTHS) I thought I really needed to paint something. Mixed media on canvas (roughly 40cm by 50cm ... squared off here by the look of it). No title, as yet. Suggestions welcome.

@upfest.bsky.social 2026 in Bristol had Asthouart cats for the first time in a few years. Here they all are (along with a mouse) waiting to be sold to raise money for the charity @nacoauk.bsky.social . Mouse went to Germany, most cats to places in England (one Spain, one Italy) and they raised £450

The song "You" first recorded by 'The Permission' in 2011 was 10 minutes long. It was done with "traditional methods" (not AI). A music video was also made using 3D software. For the current short version I have done the visuals with Grok. youtu.be/8_9rnj7EEPM

OK - this video has a lot of flaws (some comical like the hat on back to front) BUT - this was created on an AI platform called "MovieFlow" from a single prompt. All I asked for was a woman in a room that is entered by a man in uniform who says, "It is time". youtu.be/Bc0znzo8unk

Definitely go and see the place if you have the chance - though I am not sure about seeing "the seating". (That said, I had a very interesting experience on a specific seat/bench that looks down the avenue of the white wisteria. I may write it as a short story one day).

I like the lamp post, but if you come this way again maybe think about checking some places like Queen Elizabeth I's bed chamber or the old synagogue. There are fascinating places and images that relatively few photographers capture.
