this is exactly what ive been trying to say for the past 2 years, and why i think wgmm had the success we did in luti last season, even if our comp would be absolute insanity in a high level setting, it made the most of our individual skills and helped us in turn to coordinate better as a team

#CompSplatoon I wish more low level players would stop focusing on the meta rather than trying to build the skills cause let's face it, most of us aren't actually ever gonna need to know the meta.

A graphic advertisement for Splatoon coaching. Has Splatana Stamper pngs as well as a quagsire with headphones in the lower right corner. Has the text "Echo is looking for a personal, low level coach! Genuine. This is not parody.
About me:
What’s Quackin’, former Geomancy
XP2888, +3 via SQ in 3 seasons
+3 results, tourney wins, check s.ink
Coached over 200 players
About You:
VOD review or coaching experience necessary
LI eligible preferred
Willing to learn together
Free 1x weekly

So why low level?
I want to build an environment of mutual learning in the scene. The scene can grow even further when players realize that analytical skill is not the same as skill in execution. I’ve learned from players of all levels, and a good analyst is often more helpful than a great aimer. In essence, I’m starting to practice what I preach. (If you’re looking for a coach, I suggest you consider the same.)

Contact on sendou.ink and discord is starry_echo, bluesky is implied.

Hot take I might make into a video: too many tournaments killed the tournament scene. We are seeing the likes of tournaments that have been around for years barely gain any entries. We are seeing new tournaments pop up every two weeks or so and run with only 4 teams in it. Thread 🧵

might start doing div 7-ish scrims with glooga, before my break last year i was pushing really close to LSL ban with it and not sure if I would actually be able to do that with any other weapon, at least not without a lot of intense coaching to play smth else, and also just cuz its more fun
