astead @astead.bsky.social · 26/08/2025all these crumbs, and the fly in my office still managed to starve to death. that's natural selection at work. 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 26/08/2025man I need to be taken off some of these lists, though I personally do think you should follow me for my political opinions 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 14/04/2025guys literally only want one thing and it's fucking disgusting 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 06/02/2025I've been a subscriber for like eight years, I'm well aware what I'm paying for, and that I can cancel at any time 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 06/02/2025Just year I kept getting emails saying "did you know you can cancel your subscription at any time?" Like, yeah, why are you telling me this 100
astead @astead.bsky.social · 31/01/2025what tool are you using to create the bootable USB? Do you know if your computer booting in Legacy BIOS or UEFI? Does the USB drive show up in boot options but doesn't do anything when selected? It's a frustrating problem to have. 200
astead @astead.bsky.social · 30/01/2025Yeah I totally get that in your case, gotta do the cost-benefit analysis 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 30/01/2025don't buy standalone wifi repeaters, they really don't work well. buy mesh routers instead, costs a little more but they actually work and are much more convenient to use 100

astead @astead.bsky.social · 27/01/2025I now have to live with the theme song paying in the back of my head most of my waking hours, it's not worth it 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 27/01/2025It stopped being good for photographers a long time ago as well. shame how all the big social media companies have neglected the literal social aspects of their product offerings. I don't want to consume, I want to interact, with real people if you can believe it 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 08/01/2025I just became very impressed by your ability to deescalate, you don't see that too often 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 31/12/2024getting older as a young millennial means waking up one day with a sudden newfound love for corduroys 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 26/12/2024I keep turning on the TV in the living room because devices jump around in the Spotify connect menu 😩 110
astead @astead.bsky.social · 24/12/2024It's honestly a beautiful gem unlike anything else, I especially love the musical motifs. Every single piece of that game is so thoughtfully done 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 21/12/2024I hope my 450+ politically active followers don't mind listening to my rambling. the number just keeps increasing, and that's kind of funny. 000

astead @astead.bsky.social · 06/12/2024hmm I never thought about that, I don't think we chlorinate our water here, but it's a plausible explanation 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 05/12/2024do you guys ever stop drinking out of a certain water bottles because it goes ...stale somehow. Like, it's clean and there is nothing wrong with it, but one day it feels off and you can't use it anymore. Tainted. 160
astead @astead.bsky.social · 05/12/2024I live in a capital city, and I can't find any restaurant offering Crab Rangoon on delivery. What a sick joke. 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 04/12/2024I don't always beat the captchas but I'm pretty sure I'm a real human 000
astead @astead.bsky.social · 04/12/2024yeah and now, they're somehow either the most clumsy looking thing you've ever seen - or a DARPA funded research project with no concept of the laws of robotics 010
astead @astead.bsky.social · 03/12/2024You can patch out the install requirements if you burn the install media with Rufus. The requirements are bullshit, for a lot of people they don't really contribute to added security and will lead to tons of e-waste. Or, you can just install Linux on it :) 100
astead @astead.bsky.social · 03/12/2024I said fuck it and bought a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax. My last AIO liquid cooler died prematurely, and generally they do not last that long. I'm very happy with a big air cooler, lots of surface area, can barely hear it as the fans rarely need to work that hard. 100

astead @astead.bsky.social · 02/12/2024I've been very happy with my 7700X, I turned the precision boost overdrive curve all the way down and it's so cool and calm now. Definitely look into turning down the PBO curve. Undervolting did wonders for the 7xxx series at least. 110
