archiveofourown.org/works/94260531 this feeling calls for everything - warframe - rated T - gen hey guys check it out my first fic posted in ALMOST 6 YEARS--(dies). i'm super obsessed with duviri and the drifter what can i say.

screenshot of fic header on ao3.

title: this feeling calls for everything
author: astahfrith
summary: Haven’t they learned all the lessons Duviri has to teach and then some, about the consequences of wanting anything at all but especially more than what you have?

--

After returning the first piece of the paradox, Drifter begins remember one of the many things they forced themselves to forget.

notes: (italicized song lyrics)
this sudden burst of sunlight
and me with my umbrella
cross-indexing every weatherman's report
I was ready for the down slide
but not for spring to well up
this feeling calls for everything I can't afford to know
is possible now

i can’t imagine how painful it must feel to be a creator who has bared her soul to the world w/ a character whose trauma & mistakes reflects her own life only to see so many purported fans respond with seething contempt at the idea that a damaged person is deserving of sympathy

lol i don’t let myself start the ao3 draft/usually don’t let myself start hunting for a title until i consider it basically done. i have some favorite song artists that are my first stop for titles and in this case i found a good one pretty easy, but that’s not always the case.

I’ve known how to crochet and knit for decades, but I’d never made anything in either craft more complex than a pot holder, it was just something to keep my hands busy. Then a year ago I picked up amigurumi, and now: bsky.app/profile/fold...

My favourite Annie Dillard quote, from THE WRITING LIFE

Who will teach me to write? a reader wanted to know.

The page, the page, that eternal blankness, the blankness of eternity which you cover slowly, affirming time’s scrawl as a right and your daring as necessity; the page, which you cover woodenly, ruining it, but asserting your freedom and power to act, acknowledging that you ruin everything you touch but touching it nevertheless, because acting is better than being here in mere opacity; the page, which you cover slowly with the crabbed thread of your gut; the page in the purity of its possibilities; the page of your death, against which you pit such flawed excellences as you can muster with all your life’s strength: that page will teach you to write.

i’m just really obsessed with the moment teshin touches your shoulder and you throw him off/tell him not to touch you. and i want to say something about it. something about realizing you do in fact still want things other than to die.

beck @ EXTENDED purse pursuit 333/334!!!!!!!!!! @astahfrith.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

there are things i want the fic to say about the drifter during the duviri quest and there is a moment i want to frame them around except i’m no longer sure that moment is the correct framing for the specific things i want to say

I just know that she knows- #FieldsOfMistria

A fan-comic of fields of Mistria.

Valen looks at juniper while smiling, telling her " You know, you don't have to lie to me, Juniper. I know what you are. "

Juniper looks stressed out.

Juniper wonders if Valen knows she's a witch.

Hayden and March wonder if Juniper is gay.

Valen knows Juniper is a gay witch.

Her left eye is also a similar purple hue with a scar through it while her right eye is green. She is wearing a green cloak with Gracidea flower clasps and is smiling at the viewer. Behind her are hearts with the transfeminine and lesbian flags.
