For the first time, we’re partnering with labor unions to speed up and modernize hiring for city jobs. It should be easy, fast, and fair to find a good-paying job serving the city we call home — and after 100 years, we’re due for an update.

LRP A lot of these kinds of described liberals and conservatives exist within our teaching spaces. I work at the school district in one of those positions where the cubicle dwellers look down on you, so you get to hear and see some *really interesting* interactions at the administrative level.

I'm so ready to give up, but then I see posts telling me "You have to outlive them so you can keep making art." I guess at this point me still existing and doing what I do is out of pure rage and spite. There is nothing else.

Sassy @ Working on Fall Designs 🍂 @assassysin.art · 05/10/2026

So many people just hate queer people and women. I'm so angry. We deserve to exist and share the same spaces and have our stories, write our stories, share our art, and make our art however we want without being told "You can't do that because it's two guys/girls kissing!" I'm so

120

Sassy @ Working on Fall Designs 🍂 @assassysin.art · 05/10/2026

Queer folks deserve their stories, their subtext, and to exist in the same space as non-queer stories. The fact that movements like GamerGate and its now spiritual successor Gacha Grail are so popular make me feel like I'm stroking out whenever I make the mistake of looking at any gaming space now.

Sassy @ Working on Fall Designs 🍂 @assassysin.art · 05/10/2026

The whole thing about GTA6 getting away with their wild ratings and depictions of stuff while Itch io couldn't with queer stories just makes me so mad. I'm tired of queer stories being swept under the hetero lens ("They're just friends/bros/whatever"), I'm tired of queer subtext being dismissed.

140

Sassy @ Working on Fall Designs 🍂 @assassysin.art · 05/10/2026

LRP Meanwhile Itch IO got clapped by paypros for having just queer people exist in their games. Nice double standard hell yeah.

One of the things I've noticed looking at the list of streamers I typically watch is that not a lot of people seem to be playing horror games this year and more on the releases coming out this month. Most of them are also not very horror themed, which I find interesting? I don't know.

As billionaires, the wealthy class and ai tech bros try to privatize knowledge and erase human curiosity, another form of resistance is to stay curious. Do your own research. Do not be spoonfed your ideals or opinions. Use your library. Think for yourself. It's very important that you do.

Bumble shark with bonus wooden standee 🐝 #art

An illustration of a bumble shark (bumblebee-shark hybrid), a creature that has the fuzziness of a bumblebee while retaining the body shape of a shark. It has six fins, a brown-and-yellow striped body, antennae, and wings. She is flying happily in front of lots of flowers pollinators love: sunflowers, lavender, carnations and daisies, in a little scene reminiscent of spring. Some colourful petals have fallen to the ground, and some very tiny bumblebees are also pollinating the flowers.

The same artwork made into a wooden standee.
