iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I considered participating in Inktober this year, but then I realized that all I wanna do is draw comics, so yeah... #HeroInLove

For anyone wondering... Tsukiya's design hasn't changed at all 😂 #HeroInLove

For the people who’re doing #inktober this year, are you using a prompt list? If yes, what kinda list? 👀

A comparison of Pamina's designs. Why did I decide to add so many unnecessary details to her outfit back then? And why are her proportions so effed up even though I used a 3D model as a base? Questions upon questions... 😩 (Kinda missing the thigh highs, but the tights make more sense) #HeroInLove

Can't stop thinking about my girl... 😩 On the never-ending quest (lol) to fix her design so it’s less of a pain to draw and more in line with my current tastes. #heroinlove

At what point does a background character officially become an OC? (she still doesn't have a proper name tho 🤔)

Artists who still draw their backgrounds from scratch in this day and age are stronger than I could ever be. The moment I discovered I could use 3D models, I never looked back.

Currently in storyboarding hell, and let me tell you, as much as I'm suffering right now, I'm also really enjoying getting to see a new story that I'll eventually draw. Like, yay I can't wait to draw all these stupid situations and funny faces!

Some panels from the first few pages. ✒️ Don't be too impressed, though - the backgrounds were done with the help of SketchUp. 😅 I'm always having so much fun filling the backgrounds with all kinds of different characters and details (can you spot the cat?), even if it's quite time-consuming.

🖼️ Cover of Chapter 1 Still very proud of the concept I came up with. I think it captures what's going on with the characters in a creative and fun way.

Also, please let me know if you run into any issues with the page. We built it from scratch, and even though it's a pretty simple page, there might still be a few bugs we haven't noticed yet.

My reach is probably shot beyond repair because of my long inactivity, but who caaares! I’m just thrilled to finally share with everybody what I’ve been cooking ✌️

After relying on 3D models to draw for the past few years, I was really worried I had ‘forgotten’ how to draw. But it turns out drawing is like riding a bike - you can’t really forget it?? (It doesn’t feel like I’ve improved either, though lol)
