I'm looking at some of these reviews on Supergirl and whew, I know what haterism and 'I could not fap to this' looks like when they wrap it up in a lot of words. She was "a bit too quirky" mmhmm ok. I have legitimate criticisms of the film like the power levels and muddy lighting/fx but please bfr.

It's how they create monopolies. As long there's enough Capital from investors to absorb the losses from lowball prices for long enough, they can put all competitors out of business, consolidate the market, and then jack up prices to start making an actual profit AND increase the stock value.

Gonna be honest, there are currently no non-toxic fandoms right now, no etiquette, everybody terrible. People have been complaining bitterly about GoT from the start so I know the deviations were extreme. Adaptations stay upsetting me so I start at the shows.

A lot of filmmakers use the equivalent of text to speech when you actually have to make a 2 dimensional medium five-dimensional (adding space and time as important dimensions in visual storytelling). I've had several grouses with directors not emphasizing the passage of time.

I don't read the books before watching the films because I don't want the base recipe affecting my feelings on an adaptation. If a film is ... not good and I can tell it's a bad adaptation I read the book right after, like The Hitchhiker's Guide or The Golden Compass.

I feel like gas is too expensive [a sentence by itself] for how fast everyone is driving. I have seen too many downed signs and broken walls in places that it doesn't even make sense to speed, while when I catch a gradient I use momentum to roll the car around.
