At #AsilomarChromatin yesterday, #ShahirMorcos #UniversityofToronto #SickKids shared BioID analysis of BLBS #Histone H3.3 mutants showed altered interactions with PWWP-domain containing proteins that normally bind di/tri methylated H3K36. Could this be due to deregulation of methyltransferase?

#UCSC was well represented last night @ @asilomarchromatin.bsky.social conference with Alison Mills & Brandt Warecki (Sullivan lab). Watching movies of lagging chromosomes catch up so they’re not left behind is fascinating & makes me wonder how they “know” which cell to run to #AsilomarChromatin

Always been amazed how cells actually INTENTIONALLY cause double strand breaks. At @asilomarchroma last night, Cheyenne Sadeghi @FrockLab @Stanford showed evidence supporting that during #meiosis, #ATM kinase can suppress translocations after #SPO11 induces the meiotic double strand break.
