I wrote this while irritated and being held captive by a centipede in an Airbnb in Philly. I thought no one would read it and you can tell because I’m having fun and quoting Maya Angelou. I’m glad I was wrong about no one ever reading it. Also glad I was writing like no one was watching anyway.

Annual reminder I will not guest on shows that cover/promote Jeepers Creepers. That’s a hard pass. I can’t tell you what to do, but I can tell you what I will not be plugging my mic in for.

Boosting because we’re heading into festival season and you should believe women and do everything in your power to not put WOC in the same spaces with this clown. If you have a festival, think about that before you program his alleged movies.

When my og person of contact was out of office and no response. This email exchange is all I needed to know. I made the decision to leave my column and Dread. Even though it last for almost a year, it’s unfortunate how everything went down. Like I’ve mentioned already, I’ve owned up to my mistakes

Josh’s response came off cocky and belittling and I don’t play that game. Like I said, I own up to my mistakes. Mind you this was my FIRST interaction with Josh! Never once has he introduced himself to me when changes were made or anything! There also have been times when I emailed articles to him

I’ll admit, I was late submitting my article and that’s no excuse and I fully own up to it. I emailed my article to Josh and afterwards it went south. He told me that if I wanted to continue with my column that I would need to submit to him 5 topics for him to look over and approve…

I’ll admit, I was late submitting my work at times due to my busy life (work 2 jobs, school, and dealing with the passing of my 2 dogs) and I always own up to my mistakes. But with my November article, it didn’t end too well. I was aware that Josh would be the person to report to.

Time to share my story too! Long story short, I was offered a monthly column creating a deep cuts watchlist since they are my specialty. Everything was going great, I was given a platform to talk about my favorites. Now how it all ended…
