Tactical Analysis: Youri Tieleman's has become a crucial part of Michael Carrick's midfield as he brings incisive passing to a midfield that badly lacked that trait. He's a crucial piece. Out of possession has been a different story. Is it all working? thebusbybabe.sbnation.com/general/3599...

The PL season starts in five days and yet, it's (still) very difficult to gage how Manchester United will do. The building of the team isn't finished. If they don't complete it, their ceiling gets much lower. Add depth, and this side quickly stacks up kwestthoughts.substack.com/p/manchester...

Manchester United's underlying numbers have gone down under Carrick compared to Amorim - that is true I couldn't care less. The numbers being down has come as a result of choices made by Carrick, choices made to give United the best chances of winning games open.substack.com/pub/kwesttho...

There is nothing more important in football than scoring goals. If you've got a guy consistently scoring that should give you a nice advantage over the rest of the league Unless that player doesn't do anything else. There's no better example than Erling Haaland open.substack.com/pub/kwesttho...
