Russia is attacking civilian targets to subdue the Ukrainian population. Terrible 😞

Even the USSR was concerned enough about the lives of its own soldiers, that it pulled out of Afghanistan after 15,000 soviet soldiers died. Putin on the other hand, doesn't seem bothered by the death of 250,000+ Russian soldiers, and a million injured, in his expansionist war against #Ukraine !!

.ALSO, he was a rational and critical thinker, was very well-read, and promoted scientific temper. And was a progressive and inclusive visionary who wanted a classless, egalitarian society, free from poverty. May the vision of Bhagat Singh inspire us all to strive for a better future for everyone.

Today, Sep 28, is the birth anniversary of India's iconic freedom fighter Bhagat Singh He was a true warrior-philosopher, who was: - courageous and fearless, - inspiring in his leadership, - a great communicator and - was selfless who made the ultimate sacrifice for a greater cause...

Lavrov, who has been Russia's foreign minister for 22 years, gaslights with the following mind-boggling statements at the UN general assembly: - Russia is protecting Ukrainians from Ukraine's regime! - Ukraine is undermining the UN charter! - Russia continues to fight for truth and justice!

Just like nobody expects England to protect the rights of "English speakers" worldwide.... .. nobody should expect "Russian speakers" worldwide to be protected by Russia.

Mayor Mamdani is leading the way, in showing how a government should function.. i.e. for the people. Awesome, to put it mildly.

Ashok Thomas @ashokkt.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Well, he needs to answer this - if Ukrainians stop, will the Russians stop as well ..

"ECI must end its method of deleting first and verifying later. The Courts' permissiveness towards an insouciant ECI has allowed dis-enfranchisement on a scale that will remain a black mark on the jurisprudence of universal adult franchise in India".

The SIR - special intensive revision - of voter rolls in India, is an extremely difficult exercise for the citizens. The bureaucrats simply delete your name from the voter list, if there is a small doubt or some procedure not followed, and make the people run pillar to post..

Voters face challenges with electoral roll corrections and applications as deadline approaches, with online systems and BLO assistance failing.

If courts don't reinstate these, then I hope the next Dem president will ban Fox, OAN, Newsmax etc..

If Putin stops attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure, then Ukraine would reciprocate. That would be a reasonable solution, but Putin keeps refusing..

After half a million Russian soldiers died, and 1 million Russian soldiers were wounded in its evil war against Ukraine, Russia is getting desperate and resorting to mysticism ! The largest empire on planet earth doesn't need more land. Putin must stop the war and stop wasting lives on both sides..

What an amazing person, Dolly Parton ! Loved her songs like Jolene, Islands in the stream (duet) etc.. and 'I will always love you' (made more famous worldwide by Whitney Houston) Her Imagination Library has gifted over 330 million free books to children worldwide since 1995. Wow! Rest in peace 🙏

4/4 Overall, i guess we will never know what happened, because these hearings are not intended to find the truth, but for getting some TV moments and insta clips. If they want the truth, they should hear in camera from all the people involved in any way with the Wuhan lab.

100

3) There must have been a few scientists working on any collaboration efforts with Wuhan Lab. Singling out Fauci is just scapegoating, by a few Anti vaxx republicans. If they complain that Fauci pleaded the 5th amendment 100 times, then Trump also pleaded the 5th, about 400 times before.

100

2) Fauci was the director of National institute of Allergy and infectious diseases (NIAID), a part of NIH, from 1984 until retirement in 2022. ( he joined NIH in 1968 ! ) Too long !! No one should work in a position for 38 years !! But i doubt he was involved in any coverup.

100

1) The amount of money sent from US to the Wuhan lab was only about $1.4 million from 2014 to 2021. The money was sent thru a non profit called Eco health Alliance, for the purpose of research and collaboration, not directly by Fauci. The amount of money is peanuts compared to election spends !

100

and were probably easily swayed by the 10 times more money that his opponent spent on the campaign.

It would be wise for Dem candidates to distance themselves from the organisation called DSA. And call themselves Social Democrats. Or if they insist on using the term Democratic Socialists, at least distance from the DSA organisation, that has a questionable platform.

I hope these missiles explode on takeoff.

Have always respected and admired Mallory McMorrrow. Glad she has quickly endorsed the primary winner, Dr. Abdul Sayed.

1120

This is amazing, welcome news. Progressives are winning the primaries. I hope the momentum continues into the November elections.

020

It is actually the progressive candidates who are fighting for affordability and higher wages and better healthcare etc..i.e. all the policies that mostly benefit those with lower wages. Surprising that this message does not seem to have reached those groups effectively or not convincingly enough.

020

We’re seeing a class divide in the Michigan Senate results

I find it strange that the progressive candidate performs better among those who are richer and have higher education. And the moderate (corporate, status quo) candidate is doing better among lower wage earners and those with no college education.

politico.com

El-Sayed is performing better in places with higher incomes and levels of education. Stevens is doing better in more working-class areas.

Lessons from this AI hedge fund fiasco: 1. Excessive debt (leverage) can kill even a great idea. 2. Tech prodigy does not necessarily make an investment expert. 3. Don't get carried away with Buzzwords and don't get greedy. 4. Cult like following of "prophets" or anyone else is not advisable.

I loved watching Troy (2004). Watched it a few times. Thoroughly entertaining. A great cast of characters..

Loomer, during her interview with president Zelensky, kept asking if trump wasn't the greatest. Zelensky only called Trump a good and strong leader but declined to name him the greatest. Trump probably didn't like that. He needed some praise that he could use for elections.

Government's role should be limited to ensuring affordability of - schools, housing, healthcare, public transportation, childcare etc..

I admire Mamdani and fully support him (not that it matters).. However, i think opening subsidized grocery stores that offer a 30% discount could potentially affect small grocers and mom & pop shops. In my opinion, the government should not compete with private businesses directly.

Every one needs to learn from Mamdani.. go thru each of his responses to various questions thrown at him. Bernie, AOC, Mamdani etc. are some of the best to articulate about the progressive agenda. Personally though, i would prefer if they call themselves Social Democrats rather than dem socialists
