Very excited to share a new review with Dr. Ian Maze born out of my PhD work! 🧠🧬 We dive into how early life experiences shape the epigenetic landscape of the developing brain—and how these lasting changes may contribute to risk for affective disorders.

🎉Save the date! Black In Neuro Week 2026 is July 27–Aug 2. We're celebrating our 6th annual BIN Week with returning favorites like #NeuroRacism, #NeuroAcrossTheDiaspora, and #BINRollCall plus a brand new theme: #BlackInTime. ✨ 🧠 #BINW26 #AReimaginedFuture
Promotional graphic for Black In Neuro Week 2026. The design features a retro-inspired sunburst background in shades of orange, gold, cream, blue, and green. At the center is an arch-shaped panel with the text “A Reimagined Future” curved across the top, followed by “Black In Neuro Week 2026.” The Black In Neuro logo, featuring a profile illustration with a brain motif, appears in the center. At the bottom, the dates July 27–August 2 and the hashtag #BINW26 are displayed. Decorative star accents frame the design.

Today’s the day. It’s wild to think 6 years of work all comes down to defending my PhD today. Nervous, excited, and really proud of everything this journey has taken to get here. 🤍

I have always struggle with asking questions at scientific talks. Is this a stupid question? Did they talk about this and I completely missed it? But there’s no such thing as a stupid question! And if you’re brave, your thoughtful question might be recognized! 🤗 🧠✨
