I did some code shopping for Pinecone and I’m loving the cozy fall feel #acnh

My character surrounded by some fall toned codes. Tip left has 2 brown plaid blanket codes and some leaf codes. Middle has a brick path on top with leaf trim then below there’s a dirt path with leaves. Off to the left there’s logs, mushrooms, stepping stones, and a yellow blanket code

I decided to make one without the extra eye segments to see if it’s worth the extra time to have the white of the eyes. I think it looks just as good without 🐟🧶 #crochet

My latest obsession (to take a break from blanket yarn dumplings): fidget fish/sardines. They have a barrette inside so you can snap them #crochet 🧶 🐟

3 sardines. The middle is pink and white and the other 2 are blue and white

Does blanket yarn hurt anyone else’s hand? I love that it doesn’t shed like chenille, but I find it uncomfortable to work with so don’t do it often. The end result is cute though 🤷🏻‍♀️ Crochet dumplings 🥟 I’ve been making a bunch of these little guys lately for mystery bags #crochet 🧶

Library haul 📚 I decided it was finally time to renew my card now that I’m reading a lot more once again after years of mostly being in a slump. I’ve read A Darker Shade of Magic before, but want to reread it and finish the series (my partner lost my copy though so figured I’d borrow this one)

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E Schwab

Matched by Ally Condie (I’ve heard mixed things, but the premise is interesting)

The Girl who fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh

Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter (I read the first book a while back and either didn’t realize there was a second or just never got around to it)

A perfect start to the day 📚 ☕️ Not pictured: sourdough baking in the oven 🍞

Blue mug that says name a better duo with a photo of a cup of tea and a book walking. The cup is currently filled with coffee however

The book is The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston. I’m very intrigued by the concept of this one. The love interest lives 7 years in the past

I still can’t believe this is real life. I keep hoping it’s a horrible nightmare that I’ll wake up from. It’s so incredibly unfair 😭

TW pet loss Today while I was at work, Monty passed suddenly. My partner said it happened so fast. He had seemed happy and healthy. No signs of any issues. I’m completely devastated. 7 months ago to this day, I lost my dog Sky to cancer. Today we lost Monty to unknown causes. It doesn’t feel real

I think it went really well and there’s a good chance I get it! We ended up talking about crochet at one point, which helped put me at ease. My resume mentioned that I have a small business and they asked about it, turns out they also crochet haha

I have a job interview in an hour and I’m so nervous. I hate interviews. I’m too socially awkward for them 😅 it wouldn’t be a huge change if I get the job, it’s just a different department within my workplace for 10 months. I have a job to return to either way thankfully. That definitely helps

I find Bernat blanket hard on my wrist, but I like that it doesn’t fray the way premier parfait chunky does. Some of the skeins are impossible because they’re constantly shedding and fraying. My magic rings are often sewn closed because I couldn’t pull them shut 😅
