definitely avoid using glass skates on glass pad, but on cloth it's fine. personally i use superglide because i use a very generic mouse that they have ones designed for it, and i prefer low friction. i've heard good things about the artisan's own ones (they're POM), but it's mostly preference.

make sure to get glass skates, using PTFE with a coarse mousepad (like Artisans) can cause permanent damage to the pad

the same logic would also apply to Altima, of course. which leaves only Pashtarot and Halmarut. there's not any evidence for or against either, but Pashtarot makes the most sense in terms of writing as we saw them during the end of 2.0, and we have seen zero evidence that Halmarut still even exists.

it's also probably not Deudalaphon, because while we don't know for sure if Gaius killed them, it wouldn't really make sense to have them appear when there are others that Gaius definitely DIDN'T kill/

that being said, it also makes sense story-wise, as there are many Ascians as of yet unaccounted for. as for which one they were, it's a bit hard to say. Altima would make the most sense (assuming the Ultima theory is accurate), but the shoulder pad is distinctly different.

i just can't help but feel like they're going to rely the Ascians too much again. i don't have a problem with them alone, but DT was supposed to be a "fresh start" to the story, and it feels a bit cheap to suddenly backtrack on that and reintroduce them.

to get a bit into SPOILERS: i am very split on bringing Ascians back into the fold. i think it's quite clear that the Ascian shown in the final cutscene is just another member of the Winterers, and all signs even since 7.0 all point toward Ultima being the true villain of this arc...

the many QoL patches and minor features though definitely are very nice and it would be a disservice to not at least mention them. even small things like chat bubbles indicate towards SE's intent to continue developing the game far into the future, which definitely feels nice as a player.

though I do remember pre 7.2-whatever minor patch it released, I think I felt about the same. when the deep dungeon and new cosmic zone drop, I imagine it will feel significantly bigger.

following up after finishing all (outside of new doh/dol gear) patch content, generally pretty good. AR's story I'd definitely not as good as the twelve, but the raid was fun and had some unique stuff going on. the ex was also pretty solid, but holy shit pf sucked ass at it.

this might be the best Jacob Geller video. It does a really good job of trying to reconcile the complicated practical/political considerations of trying to figure out "how" to do something like the Nuremberg Trials, with the simple desire for catharsis and resolution after World War 2.
