Today was the first project critique in the design class I’m teaching this semester! It went so well and I’m thrilled. High energy, lots of good feedback, 100% participation. Now we’re moving into our final Photoshop project: movie posters. My cat Moon Pie may or may not make an appearance. 🐱

hello new pottery friends 🫶 My name is Ashi! I’m an accessibility professional, designer, and interdisciplinary artist. I started doing ceramics in 2023 and fell in love with it. I don’t think I’ve found my style yet, but my favorite thing is making sculptures out of wheel-thrown parts.

Made it through week 1 teaching my first college course! 🤠 It hasn’t been easy, but I’m enjoying it so much. Working with students reminds me of why I love #GraphicDesign: there are so many things you can accomplish and so many avenues to get there.

Sad stuff: Our Dutch rabbit, Louise, crossed the rainbow bridge 2 weeks ago. We’re grateful that she had a very long, healthy life, but it’s been hard. Happy stuff: Our two dogs (read: Californian rabbit and tabby kitten) are quickly becoming best buds.

Ten years ago today, I was finishing up my first graphic design class as an undergrad at @ualittlerock.bsky.social. Next month, I’ll be returning to the university to teach that class myself. Oh, it’s good to be back!
