@avisheep.bsky.social and I are headed to NYC next October for the Zelda 40th anniversary concert! I am beyond excited!

Sony/Playstation’s greed is absolutely disgusting. I sold my PS5 a year or two ago now because I was fed up with them, but now there is even more reason to refuse to buy their products. Their decision to end physical media will destroy the 2nd hand market, assuredly closing so many businesses.

So this is going to be a hot take according to the consensus of the internet…But I saw the new Resident Evil film with a few folks and we all came to the conclusion that it’s just okay at best. There were moments of brilliance. Great tension, atmosphere…yet it didn’t quite hit the mark all around.

The more I see gameplay of the Ocarina of Time remake…the more I enjoy what I see! It was certainly jarring at first in the direct, but it’s really growing on me, I’m not gonna lie. I’m really excited to see how they expand on the characters and the world.

Had a wonderful weekend at a state park with my partner and friends—Only for the ever constant Outlook notifications on my phone launching my anxiety back to its peak. I swear, that sound alone is enough to trigger a PTSD-esque response with the bullshit I deal with in this job.

Never a prouder moment than getting your younger sibling into a game you love—Never expected them to love Red Dead Redemption as much as they did, but hey, I’m here for it!

At a convention in my city, and kudos to the one guy who recognzied my costume while sounding as southern as biscuits and gravy, “Is that Balthier? Hell yeah brother” lmao I went as Balthier from Final Fantasy XII! My cosplay and the reference is attached!

TBH? I am not really all that excited that GTA6 is coming out. I know a plethora of people love the series but personally I haven’t completed a GTA game start to finish since GTA4, and only dabbled in GTA5. It’s a fine series for what it is, but I think the hype is wayyyy over manufactured lmao.

Coyote Vs. Acme—While I personally didn’t love it as much as I wished to, I appreciate it so much for what it represented. It was a perfect example of the people vs. a faceless mega-conglomerate that wanted it to be shelved for tax breaks, but we fought to give it the theatrical release it deserved.

Listening to the Ocarina of Time soundtrack has made me all the more excited to relive those childhood memories with a fresh perspective. I’m eager to see how they interpret these timeless tunes, as well! Hearing them fully orchestrated will be a dream. youtu.be/0BDad24djOY?...

Found myself randomly thinking of an old supervisor when I worked in a hospital stockroom. He would always come in drunk, and would get so plastered we’d find him sleeping under his desk on multiple occasions. He even called me into his office begging me to be the godfather of children once…Wild.

Being sick sucks—but it’s a good excuse to play some games you have yet to experience. Picked up Final Fantasy XII, and real talk? I actually kinda love it to be honest. The battle system is sharp, the art style is awesome, and the story has that political intrigue. I think it is solid so far!

Final Fantasy VII remake on the switch 2 genuinely surprised me! It looks fantastic to me, and the game was solid mix of old and new. It had some slow moments in the pacing, but it was a great gaming experience to be sure. Here is a compilation of some of my favorite screenshots from the game:

Backrooms was a phenomenal film. The set design was impressive, and the visual language of the film felt properly hostile towards the characters. Beautiful composition and camera work. The actors did a fantastic job as well. The horror was so well done—subtle, and the tension was palpable.

The people I work with are something else, man. The sheer level of professional haters that are in this business is hilarious. Nothing but small-town, small-minded bullshit. And yet, I am expected in my role to build relationships with these people. They won’t even ask me how I am. Shameful.

Without spoilers, I really enjoyed The Amazing Digital Circus finale! It was heart felt, and the characters are still the reason the show is so great. There are a few plot bits I felt they could have explored more. 2-3 more episodes would have been optimal but what we got in the end was solid. #TADC

That's right, folks! New grayscale sketches for $60

That's right, $60. Extra characters are $30-40 and a color upgrade is an additional $15. However, this does not preclude other comm choices of your choosing, this is a new option!

I personally am a big fan of the new designs for the Starfox team! I think it is bold, and feels pretty fresh for the series. I’ve seen all sorts of takes on them so far, but I personally appreciate the direction. The only thing I’m not thrilled about is it’s just Starfox64 with new graphics…again.

What I’ve found in my job, is that toxicity begins from the top down. I work at two campuses: One once week, and one the other 4 days. The one I’m residing in the most is toxic; small-town drama and cliquey as fuck. But the other is so well managed: It has consistency, and a positive environment.

Tipping culture is one of the biggest scams of American Society. Businesses have convinced the populace that making people work for tips rather than actual living wages is how the industry should be. And if you denounce tipping you’re seen as cheap, even if you tip upwards of 20% every time. Absurd.
