Hey! Spoilers for The Devils (1971)! (which would be an amazing double bill with Teorema first)

Here are a few bandcamp codes for the guitar album I put out earlier this year. If this music satisfies you, consider ordering the CD from the label. p2fq-xjqv 668j-gex4 u3n7-3uaa xa5a-cvub q96g-h8ax redeem: chikwhite.bandcamp.com/yum chikwhite.bandcamp.com/album/face-a...

Also: my favourite Possession anecdote from Sam Neill is that the vibe was so intense with Adjani and Zulawski that as soon as shooting finished each day he'd go back to his hotel room and lock himself in, get massively stoned and listen to Genesis on repeat

It is so mad that it's not a stage name but his actual name

Just start doorknocking. “Hello I am TV’s Rob Delaney. Perhaps you went to the bathroom and missed my part in Mission Impossible. Speaking of which: can I use yours now?”

I am going to be unbearable on here for the next few weeks, because [sound of fingers tapping on pub tables in imitation of a drum roll] I am putting on a gig! Yes, that's right. Zero Wave returns to London after a hiatus of more than 7 years. dice.fm/event/k6dpbp...

I love all the reviews saying it was patchy etc. Have they ever seen SNL?!

Was the file getting more compressed and lossy every time, like turning the development of the mp3 into Disintegration Loops

I feel like this about Corrupted and Morbid Angel - any time I listen to other sludge and OSDM respectively I realise, why am I not just listening to the pinnacle? (Will be able to give non-metal answers once it’s properly Spring)

Amazing. I'll have to find the details about Fred again, I'd be shocked if they didn't share a stage somewhere.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_M... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macarte... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_... Can't prove my namesake was actually related but was a tamer killed by his own lion. Some amazing illustrations on that page 😆

Ah wow! I think Fred went into vaudeville in LA with his dog act - his mother (my gg-gma) Marie Macarte was an equestrian performer and circus owner, my g-gpa Harry was a champion tumbler, and my three great-aunts were a slack-rope act (the Sisters Macarte)! :-D

ashcircle @ashcircle.bsky.social · 05/03/2026

(I ask because my great-great-uncle Fred Macarthy (b. 1852), "a high wire and general circus performer who later had a performing dog and monkey act", settled in LA I believe...)

It’s not the ideal starter but it isn’t a bad one! Will be beautiful in a theatre. But like all Tarkovsky it’s long and slow, which can be a challenge, but with high reward!
