Went to watch a panel on ocean storytelling and ended up commenting about the need to recognise the existing voices from across the globe who do not have access to these spaces but are driving waves of change in their countries and homes, the lack of diversity in the panel, 1/n

I recently had an encounter that restored my faith in humanity.🧵 I was in the Perth CBD when I walked past a young guy who was saying weird stuff to me. He started following me so I ducked into a shop to avoid him. When I felt a bit more comfy I stepped out and went into a couple of other stores.1/n

My love for cake has been long-standing. Here I am on my first birthday giving my grandma’s lovingly made cake the greedy eye. If you follow me for marine biology stuff, stay. That stuff will come but getting to know each other is also important :)

Deep sea mining plans blocked in Norway 🇳🇴🚫 Environmental groups described the news as a “historic win” for ocean protection. Oslo had planned to let companies apply to mine 280,000 sq km (108,000 sq miles) of its waters, an area greater than the UK, for deep-sea minerals.
