Would really love a Trump voter to explain, in their own words, the importance and value of this pointless trade war with our Canadian neighbors/allies.

Hey United Airlines - seems a bit crazy to allow someone sitting in an exit row to drink four Tito’s vodka and sprite in one hour on a flight, right?

Can we all agree that carpeting in airport walkways is a terrible idea? It’s like an unexpected workout just trying to drag a suitcase across it

With the recent firing of 100 FAA employees, a just announced new acting head of the FAA, and an air disaster yesterday that by all initial accounts seems preventable, how are people supposed to feel safe in the air?

I’m not blaming Biden nor am I undermining my support for him. I’m simply raising a question about how this situation unfolded and whether there was an opportunity for him to get ahead of it. It’s possible to support someone while also critically examining their actions or strategy.

I’ve been following along this entire time. My point is why didn’t Biden issue a stay? Why is Biden allowing Trump to look like the hero?

Victoria @aseatatthetable.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

Why didn’t Biden do this then?

I don’t care who claims responsibility for reinstating access to TikTok as long as the “new” version of the app doesn’t amplify extremist rhetoric or undermine democracy

SMDH…relatives from Texas called to check in on us (we are 6 hours drive away from LA fires) and then they proceed to talk about the smelt fish and lack of water to fight the fires. Fighting the misinformation engine is never ending and exhausting.

Am I the only one who cannot stand the smell of laundry softener? We don’t use it but i can smell it on other people’s clothing and it is not pleasant

He exemplified the very best of America, dedicating his life to peace, human rights, and uplifting those in need. His legacy will endure as a reminder of the profound impact of kindness and integrity in leadership. Rest in peace, President Carter.

It shouldn’t take the assassination of the CEO to ignite reform. Constituents and the medical field have been complaining loudly about this for years. We bear the brunt of this chaotic insurance nightmare on a daily basis. Our voices have fallen on deaf ears for far too long.

Unpopular opinion: Thanksgiving food doesn’t excite me. The turkey is bland, the sides are heavy without depth, and most dishes rely too much on nostalgia, not flavor. Every year I just go with the flow and wonder if anyone else secretly feels the same way.

BlueSky feels like The Good Place of social media—after escaping the chaos and toxicity of X, we’ve landed in a space that’s fresh, thoughtful, and full of promise. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s built for genuine connections, not chaos. Let’s keep it that way. 🌱

The right successfully sowed doubt in MSM framing it as biased and unreliable, which resonated with many Americans. MSM compounded this problem by failing to consistently report factual, unbiased information, often prioritizing sensationalism or ratings over credibility. Trust has been eroded

The problem with the use of the term “echo chamber” is that is it typically describing an environment where disinformation thrives. I hope #bluesky can strike a balance between fostering open dialogue and minimizing disinformation. I want to remain open to diverse perspectives.
