Me, sitting back and waiting...

A not-so-great picture of me sitting ad my computer desk. My silver hair back in the regular ponytail, but clearly shaggy around the edges. I'm holding a coffee cup up to my lips, with a cartoon version of my facepalming on the mug. I do this because I know full well Gail is trying to instigate and it's making me happy to just watch the chaos unfold.

I say this is fully acceptable under the "Paradox of Tolerance" rule....

The Paradox of Tolerance disappears if you look at tolerance, NOT as a moral standard, but as a social contract.
If someone does not abide by the terms of the contract, then they are not covered by it.
In other words: The intolerant are not followoing the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance.
Since they have broken the terms of the contract, they are no longer covered by the contract, and their intolerance should NOT be tolerated.

I mean, there are things about myself I don't like. But I most certainly do not hate myself that way. Sounds to me like someone has conflated my anti Israel government position with something completely different.

Sign on table at DragonCon after "Vendor Removed for Selling AI Art" and the #ArtByHumans. DragonCon has a No AI policy just like SDCC, but they actually enforce it. SDCC has no justification for letting a booth be filled with AI slop.

I'm just saying there are 2 ways to respond to the question. I have both in consecutive order.

2 bluesky posts. The first from The Tennessee Holler, who had someone asking AOC "is there concern the sllippery slope to socialism end up full-blown communism?" AOC replies "No that's stilly. We can't even raise the wage, you think communism will happen? They're scaring ppl so we don't talk about having guaranteed health care." And this alone is a solid response, but the second post makes it even better, it's Effin' Birds posting their chicken with the words "you stupid piece of shit". It feels like the perfect coda to AOC's response to the question.

The Criterion Collection still exists, and they have a fantastic library of movies. Get yourself physical copies of what you love while you can.

Me holding a copy of the movie "Sorcerer" on disk. DVD, BluRay, and 4K disks included. One of my all-time favorite movies. Was very happy to find this on the Criterion Collection page. They can't take away access to something when I have a physical copy.

To be fair, I probably would have ordered from this place today anyway. I'd pick up on my way home from work. But I'm working from home while waiting for HVAC person.

As a SysAdmin, I have a lot of sympathies for the dev team at @swtor.com right now. They've been dealing with DDoS attacks on their servers causing the game to be unstable. I just tried to log in, and got the message below. I'm playing from Steam, and there is no update to the game client yet.
