A lot of you furries stopped growing up after high school

Last night I experimented with a change in my game scene. I had the game shrunk to a smaller window so nothing was blocked. While it looked nicer, I think I'm going back to keeping the game full screen behind me. I'm big on minimalism and I just feel that worked better for me in general.

I'm still dealing with some congestion but I think I'm going to attempt streaming at the usual time tonight

Decided to give this a try. It was hard picking just 9 games but I think this is mostly accurate.

I really hope I can get over this cold before next stream because I really want to continue playing Silent Hill Townfall.

I guess it's a good thing I wasn't planning to use the Steam Frame for awhile until more accessories come out for it. I was up in queue to order mine last night and they're already sold out of the straps. They must have really underestimated the demand for those.

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

So when are they going to be punished for defying court orders? Probably never because that would make too much fucking sense.

Unfortunately I'm going to be cancelling streams for the rest of the week. The timing sucks because I want to play more Silent Hill Townfall but I got sick. Hopefully I'm able to continue streams next Tuesday but we'll see how I'm feeling by then.

Welp, I think I'm starting to get sick. Lovely...

Initial impressions of Silent Hill Townfall. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. I love the sound design and atmosphere. I'm also enjoying the gameplay quite a bit more than Silent Hill f, even though it's more stealth focused and I'm very bad at stealth in games.

I wonder if this will finally cause people to leave the platform. Judging by similar situations in the past, most people will just complain and keep using Discord as normal.

140

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

This is why I get really annoyed with the people complaining about the price as if it's Valve's fault. Blame the whole AI industry and everyone trying to shove AI down our throats in general.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like people are becoming more cliquey lately. I know cliques have and will always be a thing but I'm finding it harder and harder to hangout with some people anymore because they're always busy with other friend groups. This is why I mostly just do my own thing lately.

I haven't gotten any emails from Steam regarding the Steam Frame waitlist yet, so I'm just going to assume I didn't make it into the queue.

Update: Steam made an exception and refunded me

I've been streaming for awhile now and one thing I noticed with streaming culture is the push to do a lot of collabs with other streamers. I'd like to attempt to do collabs every so often but my availability is very limited and honestly, I have zero interest in streaming most popular co-op games.

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Update: I was denied a refund due to it being about 3 weeks since I bought the game. I figured that'd happen. I sent a follow up request asking for clarification since the game has zero mention of generative AI usage on their Steam page and I bought the game without knowing they used AI.

240

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

I'm very late to this but I just learned about it. I bought the game a few weeks ago as it seemed neat, though I never played it. I just requested a refund and listed the reason being the use of AI during development without disclosing it. Hopefully I can get a refund.

Hopefully I'm selected though I most likely won't use it until I can properly order FluxPose trackers to use with it. Unless my Index finally decides to shit the bed...

I have the urge to replay Final Fantasy XII someday. I haven't played it since the original PS2 version back in the day. Maybe I should stream it sometime. I honestly don't remember the story that well but I remember really enjoying the gameplay and the music.

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Just a heads up for those that missed it during last night's stream. I'm taking tonight off due to some IRL stuff I have going on. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I usually try not to talk politics but anyone who votes Republican because they believe this is a fucking moron. I mean, anyone who votes Republican is already a moron anyway but still.

I don't know if it's just me getting older or the current state of the world but lately I find myself becoming more vocal and less patient when having to deal with stupid bullshit. It's probably shocking for some people who have known me for a while as I used to hold back more.

140

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I swear a lot of people need to learn how to vote with their wallets. I've seen some people complain about Discord since they first tried pushing the forced age verification thing, yet they still pay for Discord Nitro. It's hard to take these people seriously when they lack even a little integrity.

Update: The software is still shit

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Trying out Nvidia Broadcast after giving up on it years ago. Performance seems better than it was last time I tried it. It's honestly a shame how shit the program became after the 2.0 update. The old version was so much better and I used it for all my mic inputs. It was especially great for VRChat.

120

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Sometimes I wonder if some people only join me in VRChat because they're bored and expect me to entertain them

It's interesting seeing how the furry fandom is now compared to back around 2010 when I was starting to be active in it.

I found one of the devs behind this project posting on Reddit that they're aware of this issue and a few other issues and are currently working on fixes, so that's good.

I was excited to try the Blue Dragon recomp that just came out recently but some of the files keep getting blocked by Windows and labeled a trojan. Supposedly the files are safe and it's a false positive but I'm holding for now. I'm seeing multiple others reporting it on their GitHub, as well.

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

As long as nothing comes up, I'm planning on attempting my first ever VRChat stream tonight around 6 PM EST. I'm mostly just going to be chatting or showing a world. It'll also probably only be an hour or two depending on how things go.

030

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Twitch is down. Neat... Hopefully it gets resolved before I stream later.

Seeing people who insist on only using Twitter while also complaining about how much they hate it is like watching someone touch a hot stove and burning themselves repeatedly.

1111

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I think I might attempt a short VRChat stream on Friday. Just a 1-2 hour stream of chatting or possibly exploring a world or something.

I'd love to get a pair of round glasses for my Chipori avatar but I can't seem to find any that work with the avatar's face.

020

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Part of me is considering streaming Radiata Stories at some point. It's a pretty underrated JRPG from the PS2 I played quite a bit back in the day.

010

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

So I'm not 100% sure if my PC issues are resolved yet but the fact my PC didn't crash during stream tonight is a good sign. I believe uninstalling this month's Windows 11 update resolved my issues. I highly recommend not installing it if you haven't yet. I'm hearing it's been causing people issues.

I believe I have my issues resolved now. I've been stress testing my PC for hours with zero issues. If my PC randomly crashes again after all this, I'm going to crash out

140

Arvo @arvothebluejay.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I'm hoping this issue is resolved now but I'm still looking into it as I have no consistent way to replicate it. I'm REALLY hoping it isn't a hardware issue, especially RAM. If it's a physical RAM issue, I'm fucked.
