But don't assume I don't have a position on what's happening; in fact, I'm not the kind of person who thinks the truth lies somewhere in the middle, or anything like that. Things should always be examined with healthy critical thinking, a rare commodity. Think slow, not fast

The risk is also to express ideas and concepts without being able to analyze them, with the effect that you attract people who already think like you and therefore remain inside a bubble, perhaps even a comfort bubble, but which adds nothing to what is already written around

I rarely write and comment on current events, but it seems banal and unnecessary to reiterate how crooked and wrong everything is and it is impossible to speak about them with full knowledge of the facts when you are limited to a few characters

The first two novels in the Gormenghast series are among the best things I've read in years. Wonderful, critical, biting, and gothic, with such incredible atmosphere. It always baffles me how little-known they actually are

I’ve thought several times about posting legal content, but social media doesn't always allow for the nuance needed to avoid misleading generalizations. Plus, I’m studying in Italy, so my insights are mostly specific to the Italian law and I don't know how much it'd be interesting for everyone

As I said, I'll use AI-free digital techniques for some steps, and the final pages will be done in traditional media. So now I've really roughly sketched every page on printer paper just to leaf through them

First doodled page for an adult comic written in Italian at the moment

Stoat Quest continues (again).

A stoat is in a sword battle with a villainous marten. The marten has a mustache, red Captain Hook hat, and red cape.
Stoat: Ah-Ha! You are no match for me, wretched villain!
Marten: Bah!
(The stoat now has disarmed the marten is aiming their sword at the villain)
Stoat: Now release the beautiful princess you've taken prisoner!
Marten: Curses! Let me go in the other room and fetch the princess.
(the marten calls the stoat from off screen)
Marten: Ok, the princess is ready to be rescued! You can come in now!
(The stoat enters the next room. There is a princess who looks suspiciously like the same marten, but now wearing a blonde wig, pink gloves, and a pink bow in their tail)
Marten: My hero!
Page 2:
Stoat: Wait… are you the same marten villain I just fought, but dressed as a princess now?
Marten: Uhhh… yeah.
Stoat: And are you the same marten barkeep who told me about the villain and the princess in the first place?
Marten: Yeah.
They both kiss and passionately make out.

I just discovered this song, and now I wish I could translate it for y’all, because it’s ART. In short, it’s an appeal to return (French) swearing to being a refined art — not in contents, but in timing.

That’s why I can’t be an artist as a job, and where I live it’s even worse. I don’t like taking commissions or that kind of stuff, and I’m usually not in touch with trends or similar things. So… I hope my law studies will turn out to be useful for having a decent quality of life

This is one of the most important readings I did in 2025. Although I don’t always agree with Tocqueville’s ideas (especially with Tocqueville as a politician), he says some important truths about democracies and what can go wrong with them. I especially suggest it if you are American

I would really like to convey the sense of satisfaction and beauty that comes from making things with your own hands. Don’t wait for things to be already made, if you have even a little time, try doing them yourself. Rediscover materials: cook, sew, draw, sculpt, write, study stuff and so on 🦊
