every artist should study maquettes. It's hard to find them irl, but places like sketchup and artstation often have 3d-rotate-able sculpts for you to study. I try to envision everything I draw in this way

The problem is Netflix already has a track record of doing the opposite, based on the constant ebb n flow of the media landscape they created and the constant shuffling of people in charge of various depts of the company, not just animation.
