An image of Richard E Grant from the film Withnail and I. Under that is the caption "of course I'm a traitor. What's the point in being in the game if you're not?"

Quite the mixed bag for me and shows the gap in my gaming between the 1980s and the 2000s.
A grid of 3x3 video game covers. They are, in no particular order, Revenger of the Mutant Camels (C64), Mario Kart Wii (Wii), Wizball (C64), Battlefield 4 (PS4), Battlefield 3 (PS3) Paper Mario (Wii), Portal (PS4/PC), Out Run (Arcade) and Gauntlet (Arcade/C64)

Isn't this just anywhere outside?
A sign on tree. It depicts a strutting bird inside a triangle, with a yellow background. Underneath is the text "Caution! Birds may be present overhead in this area"

A posted for something called "The Cher Show". 3 people, dressed like Cher, but not really looking anything like her, pose.

If Rotten Tomatoes didn't already know they had a bot problem, this may be the proof they need.
A review of the film Melania showing a 6% score from professionally reviews and 99% from "the general public".

Really enjoying the "What's in the Bag" sub on Reddit, where people are amazed that I immediately know when they live in the US. Clue: It's the knives and, sometimes, guns that you think is "normal" to carry in a daytime bag.

There are few quotes in life that I re-use, but this one from @heritage.bsky.social is an exception. One for the ages and great for setting New Year's Resolutions (can anybody send this to The Whitehouse?) Best not used in a church sermon though.
The writer/father/raconteur Stuart Heritage standing next to a projection screen. On it, in large friendly letters, is the sentence "8. DON'T BE A DICK.".
Good advice indeed. Like, not capitalising sentences?

I'm not sure if Auto Express is telling us what they truly think of the Jaguar's designer.
A news article from the Auto Express website titled "Jaguar Land Rover breaks silence on design boss Gerry McGovern exit rumours". However, in 6 different places, in the same large typeface as the headline, are the words "Something went wrong."

Part 2 on my occasional series of "terrible images that retailers used to represent video gaming". See alt text for my views.
2 couples playing on what appears, based on the controllers, to be a PS3. So not recent.
Nobody can hold a controller correctly.
Most importantly, where are their eye lines? They are playing on at least 2 different TVs from the looks of it.
It's almost as if they're not actual playing and are posing for a photo instead. Badly.

This is the sarcastic content I go to Reddit for on a Friday evening. Beautifully done.

Whether TV, online or print media, why can marketers never represents gamers properly? Here's Amazon showing someone holding a games controller in a way that nobody would. See also: TV advert with family on the sofa, each with a controller at full arms length, leaning to the side simultaneously
A bearded man, wearing a wired headset (with no visible microphone) and a white shirt. The shirt is not relate but completes the picture I guess. He's holding a gaming control in front of them, with arms fully extended and at chin height. It's held at a 45 degree angle for no reason. He's very happy.

The argument I've heard about this all day, including on @lbc.co.uk this afternoon, is that "they're not all, white middle-aged men". I'm very sure 100% are not but images from recent demonstrations would tend to suggest it's a tar brush worth using.

I love how having a female Silver Surfer in the new Fantastic Four movie is making certain people very angry. A film where 3 out of the 4 Fantastic Four are male, Galactus is male, damn it, even Sue Storm gives birth to a boy.

I don’t know if layout was intentional at @waterstones.bsky.social Derby, but I appreciated it either way

I have so many questions about this ad on Reddit. Where's their head? How far into your butt does it go?
A picture of what appears to be a man, lying down on a gym mat. Facing downwards. I think. Because all of them is visible except their head, which is oddly missing. The product being sold is some kind of t-shaped metal bar for workouts, which they're holding onto at both ends. The t-shape in the middle appears to be sitting very much in the crack of their butt. It's not obvious how far in it goes.

Just had this promoted post come up in my Reddit feed. If anyone needs an example of an advert that tells you zero about the product, then this is it.
A cartoon image of a city scape at night. A light is projected into the air showing the image of, well, no idea. A bean with limbs and ears? A pillow maybe with 3 tags on it. No idea.
But it also has the tagline "It's time to move to Go".

Part 2 of "things that Amazon Alexa has added inappropriate suggestions to". A bit rude to my nephew, if you ask me.

Try "Amazon, show me The Stinky and Dirty Show"

Yes, they deem it acceptable to now show you a range of "Spring favourites", all marked as one of your favourites, and none of them being products I've bought, let alone marked as a favourite. This is a new level of devious, under-handed selling tactics that is totally unacceptable, imo.

Such a shame Sainsbury's can't be bothered to be on Bluesky and see this. For some time I've been unhappy with the fact that you can mark products as "favourite" and, when viewing them, they occasionally throw in a "sponsored" item (see screenshot).

JD Sports had the option to put their security tag anywhere on the product...
The bottom half of a dark grey shop dummy. It's wearing a pair of blue, Nike branded, tight, sport shorts. A large, round, black security tag has been put very much, front middle. It's not clear, though, if we're looking at the front or the back of the model, though - possibly back from the leg positioning. Maybe a gas escape valve?

Definition of pointless: a wet floor sign in a swimming pool changing room (photo taken today). In fact, there are so many of them in the same area, I keep nearly tripping over them.
A yellow cone on a tiled floor. The floor is covered in wet footprints. On the cone is states "Caution - Wet Floor".

Christmas Radio Times. I can't help but feel Mike is a bit harsh - a lot of people would love to watch a box set of Ghosts on iPlayer.

At first glance, the BBC did a good job of hiding the Strictly winner from those people glancing at their News page. Scroll down, though, and they give the result away anyway.
Headline stating "Strictly Come Dancing winner announced"In a "Features and analysis" section it shows an image of the front page of the Sunday Mirror including a picture of the winners of Strictly Come Dancing with the headline "Ellie-vated".
