First time I saw a puffin, I couldn't believe they're real. No way such a colorful and cute bird could actually exist in nature. So as I painted this lovely pair I didn't hold back and made them as sparkly as possible. #art #traditionalart #watercolor #stunday #bird #birdart #animalart #wildlifeart

Watercolor painting on paper. Two puffins are standing next to some flowers and looking to the left side of the frame.

Berlin zoo has built a huge new elephant enclosure and admiring those wonderful animals became much easier for me. But of course they actually belong into nature, so I painted this fellow as part of the savanna. #art #traditionalart #watercolor #elephant #animalart #wildlifeart #stunday #aquarell

Watercolor painting of an elephant on paper. The elephant looks at the viewer and is standing on dry grass. The white of the paper is still seen near the edges.

I hope you have a beautiful day like these two birds! This scene is based on a water feature in Yvoires Garden Of Five Senses near Lake Geneva. Since I don't have a garden myself I love visiting them especially during holidays! #art #traditionalart #acrylics #stunday #birdart #nature #yvoire #birds

Last year my cousin and I treated ourselves to a boat ride on Berlins river Spree. It was really lovely, so I painted this for her. I chose an impressionistic style to show everything bursting with color and light. #traditionalart #acrylics #acrylicart #landscape #art #blueskyart #stunday #berlin

Acrylic painting of a boat driving on the river spree. There are trees left and right. And old industrial chimney is seen in the background.

I always felt that rhinos are fascinating animals. They're so impressive in size and appearance! I painted this fellow with just two colors to give him a sense of harmony and calmness. #watercolor #rhinoceros #wildlifeart #stunday #traditionalart #nature #animalart #art #blueskyart #rhino

Watercolor painting of a rhino's head. There is something resembling a mountain in the background.

I realized that after painting cars, bikes, planes and ships I never really gotten into #trains. So I went for it this time choosing a really dramatic angle to capture the energy of those impressive machines. #traditionalart #watercolor #art #blueskyart #stunday #landscape #locomotive #aquarell

Painting of a red train crossing a blueish landscape. It's a watercolor painting on paper. Train tracks lead into the foreground on the left side.

This is the church of Nanortalik on #greenland. I've always been fascinating by villages in mountainous regions. It's so beautiful everywhere you look but also really difficult to build anything. Made with #oilpastels on rough paper. #art #nature #landscape #pastels #mountains #stunday #blueskyart

Oilpastel painting on rough paper. You see the brown grain of the paper everywhere in the painting. A church is seen in the foreground. Hugh mountains tower behind.

Paamiut is a small but busy town on the western coast of #greenland. They draw you into their museum with this beautiful old fishing boat lying in front of it. Went for a moody vibe here so in reality it's even more colorful! #traditionalart #watercolor #art #landscape #boat #blueskyart #stunday

I’m somewhat nervous sharing this painting as I created it just after my mother passed away in July this year. A ‘loose’ watercolour of a misty wood. As I watch on in the stillness I see a familiar figure drifting away to a peaceful place 🤍 Happy Friday everyone 🕊️ #ArtAdventCalendar #Scape

A rough watercolour painting of a misty forest scene. A number of tall tree trunks appear darker in the foreground and fade away with loose foliage showing at the top of the picture. Beams of sunlight appear to break through the mist to the right and illuminate a blurry figure, what appears to be an elderly person with a stick, slightly bent over. The figure appears to be trying to find their way, drifting towards a brighter light that can just be seen in the distance.

I'm still enjoying painting with #oilpastel, so I did something in the style of Wolf Kahn. I love how vibrant these pieces are, since you both have big shapes full of color but also many strokes breaking up patterns. #art #traditionalart #landscape #blueskyart #artsky #nature #pastels

Oil pastel painting of a big red house surrounded by trees.

So I met a movie producer once. He really liked my work, so I offered to create a portrait for him to use. This gentleman is the lead actor. As with all my pixelated portraits, this looks best at a distance.

Portrait of a black actor. Pixelated in graphite.

This is a portrait of two young boys. The style is pixelated, and the medium is color pencils. The original is 22x30 inches and took over 250 hours to complete. This is my first art piece in color.

You need to step back quite a bit to see this one, but it is the beautiful Jessica Chastain. Also, sorry, it's a bit dark, I'm going to have to snap another picture, this one doesn't do it justice.

For my third party, I present "Jim." He is created using only dots. Pinch to zoom in to see. He took an entire year to create. I hope you enjoy!

For my second post, I present Sara. If you zoom in the picture breaks up into squares. If you put some distance from the picture, then the picture smoothes out. How about those freckles, huh?

I'm excited to have a few followers! Just for you, I present a work of art I did years ago. This church window was the very first time I worked with ink. It took about 75 hours to create. I hope you enjoy!
