It's appalling that it is like this for everything other than photos of people and places/things... It wouldn't surprise me if more artists leave the platform as a consequence.

Keep up the good work, this is great!

Seems anyone with a reasonable amount of wealth is, unfortunately. I wonder if he'll have AI gen in his new museum.

That's a very kind gesture, I suspect for most it's just simply honest support and appreciation that has them doing it.

It happens sometimes, the horror is, of course, if you've hit send and only someone way after the fact comes along and interacts with it... *disappears as quickly as appeared*

It's true, Cara is mostly for art... though you might be interested in turning bluesky in an instagram-like experience with pinkleap.app.

There is cara.app that has to be mentioned. But I get your point, Insta has many FB crossovers and they are the common SM platforms that most have heard of. With this AI BS that is going on it is a matter of time before more people will migrate. I just convinced someone to try Cara the other day.

I found you through the feed bsky.app/profile/flic... looking for art related posts. I'm also relatively new on bsky and am also an artist! Pleased to meet you!

There is the #art tag that is very appropriate and taken up automatically by some feeds, there is also #PortfolioDay that happens several times a year, there are also thematic quote replies that go around and help with reach. Hope that helps for now!

It's hard with BlueSky, one has to post often and hope to be discovered through the various feeds. There is also connecting with friends and fellow artists on here.

This is a lovely piece, and special place, reminds me of a beach in Greece I once visited.

I may write a book about things I should be doing with my life. It would be my Oughtabiography. 🐢💨

This was a wonderful month, Maddy, your pieces turned out great. I like how the traditional version has somewhat more detail but the digital pieces look more painterly. All in all a wonderful exercise that I hope to revisit!

I think the age gap you are referring to has something to do with the odd 8 billion people roaming around - fewer and fewer now get to experience liminal spaces in day to day lives, which is what makes them special, dare I say, creepy.

I've spent quite a lot of time in abandoned buildings, including our hometown mall during construction and at night, after closing, these experiences have continued into the digital realm where I often load maps from games just to explore them unconstrained by mandatory gameplay. I quite like them.

The lighting in this has to be my favorite as well - it's a major departure from the reference that I wanted to do and I think the piece worked out better for it. Glad you enjoy!

This is a piece of #background #art that I did last year in Spring, it shows the #sunlight down a #hill that has a #path leading into a #forest. 4 hours of work in #Photoshop using #custom-brushes. @maddybellwoar.com provided the reference picture during her show #Virtual-Plein-Air on #twitch.

They've arrived! A collection of stickers and print from @ashleyvillers.com ! Join her as she does amazing art such as this on her stream at www.twitch.tv/ashleyrvillers PS the cat stickers are of Jackson (top-left) and Butters (bottom left) - little feline rascals that sometime disrupt the stream!
