Tasked by his mistress the Lady of the Stars, the young and prideful wizard Merlin searched high and low for one who could lead the Kingdom but none could ever prove worthy. Exhausted, an idea dawned upon him, if no man could rise to be king; he would have to make one himself.

Nymph, a type of Sin tied to anxiety, uncertainty and fear of change [ #CAINttrpg #CAIN #art #digitalart ]

A monochromatic black and white illustration with a pale green accent color.
A large withered plant-like humanoid Sin is staring down mournfully at it's Host, a young woman sitting on the ground hugging her legs and partially hiding her face. She has white hair, sleeves are rolled up and is wearing a long apron. Around her is a field of withering sunflowers, all facing her.
Both the figures are silhouetted by an emerald green aura.
There are word bubbles, belonging to the Sin, but likely mirroring the woman's thoughts:
"...too much"
"not fair"
"not enough"
"need time"
"to grow"
"TO BLOSSOM..."

Rendering experiments on chaotic scribbles #art #drawing #illustration

$A drawing in graphite on a white page, it shows a chaotic amalgam of a wispy tree that reaches to the right, beneath it eyes stare at its roots as they fractal downwards. From its base a spiny bony reflective form juts outward wraps around itself as it moves to the right, twisting and bending as it changes, growing veins and fat, arms in several states of being sprout from it, it coils and tightens into a ball of meat held by three large fingers, in its center is an open maw sticking out a tongue. Behind this a wide neck grows upward ending in the skull of a horse with a compressed crown of different horns.$

Fanart of the CAIN actual play Division 12, showing a moment of downtime in the last episode. I think it's the only time the cast really gets to relax and enjoy themselves and I wanted to capture a bit of that [ #CAINttrpg #ttrpg #art #digitalart ]

The image shows a group of 4 friends walking down a street in antique japan.
The man in the front Ryuji, has a black yukata with an haori on top with yellow circular ring patterns, he has his arms folded into his sleeves as he stares back to the group.
Sitting on an outcropping next to the stone steps is Connel, holding a smoking pipe, staring into the distance with a relaxed expression as he lets he breathes out the smoke. He has a yukata with patterns of blue crows.
Behind them is Phan walking down the stone steps, she's holding her hammer and a kinchaku cloth bag in her other hand, her yukata has a purple maze-like pattern. She's smiling lightly.
Ivy hangs at the back of the group, with a japanese umbrella and a paper fan at her side. She's looking fondly at the group. Her yukata has a darker grey and patterns of red irezumi flames.
The whole image is in monochrome except for the patterns in their clothes and sashes.

And the TEMERITY ID entry I wrote up for it [ #CAINttrpg #Horror #ttrpg #Art ]

The image shows a photo print of the creature from the previous post, diagonaly taped in corners, meant to resemble the formatting from the CAIN ttrpg books.

Below it is a white outlined box with text, it reads:
"Stalker" Anomaly
Tall skinless humanoid wearing a cloak fashioned from human flesh. Appears mainly in urban settings. Displays above average intelligence based on habits and hunting behavior. Its body can shift and warp into unnatural shapes and create separate crude weapons from its own matter. Seems incapable of speech save for sharp dry cackles.

BEHAVIOR: Chooses one specific target from a group to isolate or someone that is alone. Makes no effort to hide its presence past a certain point, giving audio and visual cues only its target can perceive, moving in for the kill once they are at the height of their fear. Uses physiological "tools" if hunting resilient or crafty prey.

EXECUTION:
8 (solo)
STRESS INFLICTED:
Shapeshift limbs, hardened bone darts, flesh-tearing bites (1): 4 stress, (2/3): 3 stress, (4+): 2 stress.
COMPLICATIONS/THREATS:
Disappear from sight, use a gory trap/weapon, move at high speed, induce dread.
SPECIAL:
No Escape
The Stalker has an active target at all times, who takes +1 stress from its reactions. The target can be changed, but only once per scene.
Flay
As a threat on a (1) on the risk roll, the Stalker launches a flurry of precise cuts on its current target, if executed deal 3d2 stress, if this inflicts a second or third injury inflict instant death.

Took a concept of a drifter for CAIN and polished it up into this fella, the "Stalker" [ #CAINttrpg #Horror #ttrpg #Art ]

A black and white image of a tall skinless humanoid wearing a cloak made from human leather, leaning from behind a column in a mildly lit empty subway station.

Its head is tilted, a grotesque mask connected to the cloak covers its true face, the only features visible are its protuding jaw lined with blunt teeth and its obscured eyes from within the mask stare at opposite directions.

It is menacingly scratching the floor with an extended hand blade as it is turned towards the viewer.

Wanted to see what drawing while standing felt like so I taped an A3 sheet to a wall and made this worm lady thing

Traditional black and white art in graphite of a worm woman hybrid, with 6 arms and a 3 pairs of breasts, her body appears fleshy except for her head which has a split jaw, no nose, 4 white eyes and black horns which repeat down her neck getting smaller. The background behind her is the white of the page, minus the contrasting gradient outlining her.

Thanks! Only top-shelf stuff in this noggin

ALV @artalv.bsky.social · 19/01/2026

That's an interesting coincidence, another drifter I sketched up works similarly only instead of exorcists it hunts humans and its trying to cover itself up with their flayed skin, extending its "cloak" in the process

Art based on Division 12, a live play of the CAIN ttrpg, episode 2 THE FOG, when the cast finally confronts the target of the hunt [ #CAINttrpg #CAIN #ttrpg #Art ]
