For years my answer to "where do I start with genart?" was fx(hash). Easy to publish, cost almost nothing, and a community that welcomed you — and sometimes collected you. fxhash is gone. I don't have an answer anymore. Where would you send someone starting out today? 🤔

genartclub.com was gone. It's back! 🎉 The domain lapsed a few months ago and took the site down with it. I bought it back yesterday and rebuilt the whole thing from the last Internet Archive capture, with the club's blessing. www.genartclub.com

Current mood: overthinking how much freedom to give my next algo. - Too open → risk of losing coherence. - Too constrained → pieces feel too similar, which kills some of the #genart magic. I get why collectors might prefer coherence, but I'm torn.
