Forget economics for a bit and let’s refocus on one of the core issues of genAI music (especially suno before v6).. it is all based on theft. Stop rationalising the idea of ‘ it is here to stay’ and acknowledge the theft. Only then can you talk about economics (which will be minor> too expensive).

On average, the Dutch think that 20% of the people here is Muslim (it's 5%). They overestimate our income tax rate by 28%. They think the number of homicides is on the rise (it's falling). Same here. Already people are claiming that is ‘a leftwing bubble’ or echochamber. While i think politeness and making informed statements, should be normal, i do not see only leftwing opinions here, whereas X is def the opposite of both. I think it needs a real crisis to make people understand it.

Care to share which funder/company is behind this? It mostly looks like a genai webslop for techbro’s to invest in a pyramid scheme (with bitcoins and red and blue pill images). Hard to take these ‘bold plans’ seriously. But if they are actually doing this, then this is a big problem obviously.

Extrovert here, people do speak up to shut me up. It does happen :) I only speak up when i’m positively excited and engaged on topics where no one seems to be but should be (silent majority breaking i call it) but i try to temper that enthusiasm because sometimes (introvert) people need more time.

Out recording on a nice sunny day after a week of rain and wind. Everyone is excited and cheerful on the streets so crowd recordings are very dynamic full of laughter. Bumped into a soup festival on the way with a perfect mix of Dutch and Internatiional languages.
