Things I have done since returning to social work: Helped supervise visitation between parents and children while helping the parent learn more about trauma-informed care, autism parenting, adhd structuring and helping the children relax, provide counselling while they relax, provide all the hugs.

Honestly, I’ve been to most of the USA…driving as a young woman with a fellow young woman friend and have ended up in some scary af towns. Once ended up in an all white sundown town in Alix, Arkansas and that was terrifying. Ended up in an all black town in MS and it was lovely. Wild difference.

Post-chemo and I am still unable to eat much or at all. The nausea is still there and I throw up pretty much anything I eat… Except curly fries, an almost frozen coke, and apple pie. & a daily Bosnian salad. That is my current diet. I am eating like a child.

Weird shit that keeps happening to me: I wake up every single night (for months now) at precisely 3:29 am. Every day at precisely 5:45 pm, I get a sudden burst of energy and for the following 1-3 hours, I get lit everything done: work, cleaning, cooking, reading, writing. I pass out at 10:10 pm.

I am very defensive of the NHS because it is an absolute necessity for everyone in the UK, however I have the absolute worst experience during this ordeal. I do not know if the UK just has no concept of informed healthcare or what but either way I feel it has been horrid in every way.
