Latest #booksky pickup, The Separation US 1st HB, from a US seller on ebay. In pretty good condition, just a slight dink to the top right corner. TBH its easier to pick up this edition than the UK 1st HB. #SF BTW, Anyone else finding ISFDB website recently just not loading or pages timing out?

How many of these injured will start? #FPL #GW6 can't trust the managers to be forthcoming about availability. Do I take a risk and roll hoping some return and get 11 out?

Just finished 'The last children of Tokyo' by Yoko Tawada, translation by Margaret Mitsutani. Interesting book, only 130 pages, wish it was longer, beautifully written account of how a future isolationist Japan is coping with contamination of land, food and people 1/2 #booksky #SF #SFinTranslation

Thanks to a post by @aureliennoyer.bsky.social last week I was aware of Paahto and the Bull, an Irish folk duo with John Francis Flynn in it, by coincidence we were in Manchester for a few days, and they happen to be playing tonight. Wonderful gig, exquisite playing.

Found a 2nd hand bookshop in Manchester, large selection although quality was fair to good mostly, and prices little steep for that. But picked up this Keith Roberts 'The Furies' which was in reasonable condition. Was going to go back today but it only opens on weekends! 🤷 #booksky #SF

Think I'm settled with my team, #FPL #GW5 I had already decided earlier in the week to try on Brobbey out for Delap vs cov. Capt Haaland. I'm assuming Pedro is not playing, so Gross likely to come on for him. Not confident Brighton won't score mind you and wipe out those CS.
