At the end of my previous livestream, I promised I would talk more about AI. But I do not want to talk immediately about agents and RAG or whatnot, and I am sure everyone is tired of talking about agentic coding

The main text reads: Machine Learning for Angular devs??? Learning the fundamentals to better understand AI.

The event time is displayed as August 19, 4:30 PM UTC. The graphic also includes the Angular Space TV logo, the Angular logo, and icons for X, YouTube, Twitch, and LinkedIn.

If you are building anything serious on top of LLMs, you must admit that "prompt engineering" is actually alive and well; it just now means a slightly different thing
A laptop sits open on a wooden desk in a dimly lit office setting, with a coffee mug, notebook, and pen nearby. The laptop screen displays a flowchart diagram on a bright white background. The flowchart outlines a technical workflow with connected boxes labeled User Intent, Context Retrieval, Prompt Template, and LLM API, illustrating how data flows from user input to a language model.

I've been trying MiniMax M3 since this morning, and my initial impression is very good! Super capable model and can really work well as a "thinking companion" on heavy work rather than just a plain executor.
An abstract, modern geometric graphic in shades of red, orange, and coral. The image features sharp, overlapping angular shapes like triangles and polygons, alongside a circular concentric design in the bottom right corner. The text MiniMax M3 is centered in a bold, white sans-serif font.

I've been building agents for graph retrieval and agentic search for quite a while now. Deepseek V4 Flash (yes, flash!), especially for its price and size, is a BEAST of a model! Can't praise it enough, the team absolutely cooked 🚀
A promotional graphic for deepseek V4 on a white background with blue accents. On the left, it shows the DeepSeek logo, which is a stylized blue whale inside a circle, followed by the text deepseek V4, Pro, Flash, and the tagline Smarter. Faster. Further. On the right, a multi-layered microchip is shown connected to circuit board lines, with V4 written on the top layer. Above the chip, a constellation-like network diagram forms the shape of a human brain.

DeepSeek v4 Flash is so fast and very good, that at its incredibly low price seems almost unfair to larger models 😅
A professional desktop workspace featuring a large monitor displaying the OpenCode interface. The screen shows a "DeepSeek Generation" window containing a Python-style code snippet and mentions "DeepSeek V4 Flash". Overlaid on the screen is a clean UI element with five colored circular dots (red, yellow, green, blue, white). On the wooden desk in front of the monitor, there is a mechanical keyboard, a small secondary keypad, and a tiny square status display labeled "Zen". The environment is dimly lit with a sleek, modern aesthetic.

If you are coding with AI agents using models from OpenAI and Anthropic only, I urge you to try open models like GLM, MiniMax, Qwen. They are way, way better than you would expect, especially new ones, and there is really no downside, while you might find ways to reduce spending + parallelize more
