Yesterday’s bike ride was lovely. I didn’t take too many pics because it was raining the first half. This route is quickly becoming a new favorite.

Another place where I can jump to the embankment and later climb back onto the path. Note that at this point the previously seen escape route at the bridge is losing appeal after I cross this part. Because getting back to there means crossing back over this again.

Another Moo Baan bridge. The first one actually didn’t have a way to get onto it. But this one has and the gate is open. So I have my escape route in case the path is completely blocked for me at some point ahead.

This was the next issue I came across. But again, I could just get on the side onto the embankment and carry the bike.

But I just used the piping and the embankment to get to the other side and I was on my merry way. This was fine. A bit sketchy, but fine.

How it started vs how it’s going I degreased my chain and cassette to switch to wax (and hopefully never cleaning my chain again). I think I got carried away with the degreaser as some bearing balls in the freehub are toast.

It was cold (10C when I started), but still lovely to be out and about the gravel roads around the Netherlands. Got plenty of elevation in too. The Marly Grav route is slightly different from previous years, so worth it to ride again.
