Robotrek is such a darling little game, love seeing it get some attention.

Thanks King. Today a woman started a conversation with me at a restaurant and I actually asked for her number. She texted me saying she's not dating right now but she likes how respectful I was. That's something!

Weirdly enough I just picked reading back up this year for the first time. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. HIGHLY recommend if you're into dark political fantasties with nice crunchy magic systems.

Holy shit I remember seeing these sold at a mall kiosk in the 00s. You just unlocked some very old memories!

Ngl I'm genuinely tempted to make this my PC desktop.

I just wish it didn't look "Like That". It's not AI, but it's hitting a lot of the same weird shiny uncanny stuff that AI art does.

This look so correct it took me a while to realize it wasn't reality already

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

It's not AI. It still looks like AI. That's somehow even worse.

Somehow managed to read that as "Meth-allica"

Out of curiosity you ever check out the Glover 2 prototype? Really fascinating stuff

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

That's so weird, I just started replaying this last week

010

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Oh god I played this one. It was a train wreck of a game but a fun one lol

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

To be fair I also hate Nintendo for their horrid anti-consumer business practices. I just can't find myself excited about anything except indie games these days because I'd rather my money go to some shmuck in a basement than money that gets directly fed into the 'fuck our customers' pipeline.

Hold up, 3? I know about Quest 64, and the GBC one. What's the third Quest game?

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

AaaaaahhhHHHHHH!!!! I'm so tired of @tcrf.net being down, this is so unfair. Literally my favorite site on the internet, I visit almost daily, and it's been dayyysssss. (To be clear I'm griping about the situation, not the website owner/the website).

Don Hertzfeldt. Now there's a name I haven't heard in a long time. God his stuff was great.

For me personally the PS3 marks the end of the retro era. There just aren't enough meaningful differences between PS3, PS4, and PS5 to me. Not like PS1 to PS2, or PS2 to PS3. (I'm just using Playstation as an easy talking point mind you). Oddly though the Wii DOES flag as retro in my brain.

Might I recommend something less...that? Like PSO: Blue Burst?

000

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Oh wow I had no idea. I'm only familiar with their later titles, all of which I thought were really solid.

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Sunsoft has a reputation as Kusoge???? That's ridiculous!

Sorry Roofle, this is the only Game Com Virtua Fighter you're getting. (I know I'm stretching, let me have this)

People have been making the same stale jokes about Skyrim for 15 years. It's DONE, the jokes have been made, for god's sake pick a different game to parody, or at least be HONEST about the fact that you've only ever played Skyrim instead of taking the coward's way out.

000

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

It gets on my nerves how often I see video game comedy sketches on youtube that are like "poison logic in video games" or "dealing with NPCs in video games" and it's just Skyrim. They're just parodying Skyrim. Vast genres, series, tropes out there and it's always Skyrim. It's ALWAYS Skyrim.

It ain't hubris if you kill it. Good job!

Ark @arkthepieking.bsky.social · 22/08/2026

Ironically every woman I've ever been with has said their period is a non-starter for them. It's funny how what works for some people doesn't for others.

I am still so genuinely angry Rising Thunder had to die for this. I liked everything Rising Thunder was doing. Cooldown based specials, custom loadouts, strong focus on neutral, slower gameplay and then they killed ALL of it for 2XKO to come out 100 years later and immediately die on impact.

Breath of Fire: Ryū no Tsurishi (ブレスオブファイア竜の釣り師) was preserved by SPC! This was a keitai-exclusive Breath of Fire fishing minigame, lost to time until today. By trading in your fish, you can purchase different lures and fishing gear!

To be honest I liked your videos where you just talked about one anime. I think every piece of lost media deserves individual attention but maybe that's naive of me
