Monster Hunter Wilds is so incredibly fun, which makes the poor optimization even sadder. I want to give this game the high praises it does earn with gameplay, but the performance is spotty and inconsistent. Amazingly, a game can be so good and have such a nasty flaw that it makes me feel conflicted

There are often times when I really want to share an opinion and then keep it to myself. Other times, I bother to speak up. The feeling that I know that I do have valid viewpoints but lack the social energy to argue the same thing is exhausting. AI in art and writing sucks. Just stop it already.

Happy New Years to all my mutuals and anyone who sees this! 2024 wasn't the greatest year for me, but it also wasn't the worst. There was a lot of ups and downs, but in the end I'm still here. Plenty of time to be happy with friends and family so I'm always grateful. Here's to a good 2025, cheers!

I usually don't post tech or security news, but since I use 7zip and know many people use it, I'm going to now. The fix is already out now, so you must update to the latest build. It is a remote execution exploit so don't wait to update! securityonline.info/cve-2024-114...

Sometimes I get stuck when I'm working on what I want to write. And it's never simple because I go deep into the subject when I'm working. It is hard to find the line between where I want to be with how I portray strong moments through my experiences and emotions.

A retouch of an old old piece! Still super proud of it, didn't need all that much work to bring it up to standard. #MonsterHunter

A full digital illustration of Mizutsune from Monster Hunter. It is a serpentine, peach-toned scaly dragon, asleep in a sunlight-dappled clearing overgrown with vibrant green moss and grasses. Foam trails in a slow stream from its brushlike tail, and bubbles float around the entire scene. #art

A closeup section showing details on the tail and head crest. Tiny bubbles cling to the tail brush.

A closeup section showing scale details of its body, hind leg, and tail. There is iridescence turning several patches of scales pale blue and green.

Preparing an entire setting for writing a series of novels is a very interesting task. I know what I want to do with my stories and building everything to facilitate that in a way that feels grounded. This results in a lot of "what ifs" being asked so I don't make something stupid. lol
