This morning I learned I can sleep through 6 first responders walking around my house, including down and back up the stairs. (At dark thirty, our roommate fell. I did not hear her screams. I keep my phone silent. I only awoke when Puppy hopped down off the bed 2x and I checked my phone. Oops.)

My spouse works in the mental health space. She has known of my anxiety diagnosis (specifically Generalized Anxiety Disorder) from early on. I think one day we may have been talking about someone who had been recently diagnosed, and how hard it was and how hard they were taking it.

Over 15 years ago, after getting demoted as part of succession planning, I was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety. I don’t have panic attacks, and I am not particularly agoraphobic—it doesn’t present in me how it does most other people I know with it (including my father.)

The existence of trans women does not make me any less of a woman. The existence of trans women in “my” spaces is not a threat. Trans women are women. Excluding them from feminism is cruel. They didn’t create the patriarchy but you’re sure as fuck perpetuating it.
