This morning I learned I can sleep through 6 first responders walking around my house, including down and back up the stairs. (At dark thirty, our roommate fell. I did not hear her screams. I keep my phone silent. I only awoke when Puppy hopped down off the bed 2x and I checked my phone. Oops.)

Over 15 years ago, after getting demoted as part of succession planning, I was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety. I don’t have panic attacks, and I am not particularly agoraphobic—it doesn’t present in me how it does most other people I know with it (including my father.)

I had ER visits for food poisoning as a kid, I’ve always been extra about food safety, and being diagnosed with Crohn’s at age 40 only made this issue “worse.” I’m teetering on ARFID at this point.

Thankful for a body that allows me to start AND stop pain medicine, because this opioid/muscle relaxer/edible combo is a nice salve for the residual ouch from a lower cervical RFA/“nerve burn”. I say “stop” because holy crap I couldn’t work this medicated and I’m not disabled enough to retire.

I never wanted to be married, not really. I’ve been in my relationship nearly a quarter of my life but if we get married it’ll be for financial and estate reasons. But man am I so happy for my cousin marrying his fiancé this fall. Just great men, both kind, and maybe my heart isn’t dead after all.
